WWE: Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins Announce That They Are Engaged to be Married

TJR Wrestling

There is some happy WWE couple news today because Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins announced on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook last night that they are engaged to be married.

It’s a championship couple because Lynch is the current Raw Women’s Champion that headlined WrestleMania 35 earlier this year and Rollins is the current two-time WWE Universal Champion. Lynch and Rollins also each won their respective Royal Rumble match earlier this year.

Here’s what Lynch posted on Twitter while noting it was the happiest day of her life. You can see the ring on her left ring finger.

Rollins has yet to comment, but WWE offered congratulations to the happy couple on their website:

“WWE is thrilled to congratulate Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch on the news of their engagement.”

Rollins and Lynch have been friends for many years, they started dating earlier this year and now they are getting married. It was shortly after WrestleMania when they announced they were a couple and then WWE put that on Raw as well as the main event of Extreme Rules when they beat Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. Sometimes couples date for years before marriage. Sometimes people know it’s right after eight months or however long it has been. Obviously, it’s up to the couple to decide that.

Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lopez, is 33 years old. I’ve had people ask me about Seth’s last name before. I saw a long interview with him recently. He never knew his real dad, but his mom got married to a guy whose last name is Lopez and that’s who he considers his dad. He is not Latino. It’s just the last name of his stepdad. Lynch, real name Rebecca Quin, is 32 years old. Seth has a wrestling school, gym and coffee shop in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa, so that’s likely where they will live.

On behalf of everybody here at TJRWrestling, we wish Seth and Becky the best in their future together. If they ever have kids, they will have some good genes to become future wrestlers too, that’s for damn sure.

TJR Thoughts: I’m happy for them. I don’t know either of them, but they are good, hard-working people and I’ve followed their careers for many years now. I have seen them both talk about the other in recent interviews as well. We have all seen many wrestlers fall in love because when you’re on the road with these people for 250+ days a year, it’s going to happen sometimes. That’s why there are a lot of couples in WWE. My only advice is if WWE asks you to get married on TV, just say no. That usually doesn’t turn out well!
