WWE Adds Raw Tag Team Title Match – The Revival v. Ryder/Hawkins to WrestleMania Lineup (16 Matches Official)

It’s official. A new match has been added to the WrestleMania lineup. The Revival duo of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder will be defending the Raw Tag Team Titles against the team of Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, who are from the New York area.

Here’s the challenge that was issued by Ryder and Hawkins after Raw on Monday. Yes, Curt Hawkins is still on the losing streak that is at 269 losses as he pointed out in the video below.

Here are Dawson and Wilder accepting the challenge.

What we don’t know right now is if it’s on the main card or on the Kickoff Show. I’ll update this post later if WWE moves it to the Kickoff Show.

TJR Thoughts: I’m fine with the match taking place because it’s a title match, but the build could have been better. I like The Revival and I feel like Ryder especially deserves more of an opportunity to be on television. Hawkins is fine even with a ridiculous gimmick. However, the Ryder/Hawkins team have won no matches since they split up a decade ago and this storyline that was teased earlier in the year was dropped over the last month or even longer. If it was built up better then fine, it makes sense. This wasn’t even built up on TV and is based off a post-Raw challenge on Youtube. This could have been set up a lot better.

That’s 16 matches. There is expected to be a John Cena match, but that hasn’t been announced yet. Perhaps it will be with Elias when he interrupts his musical performance.
