P. Diddy had this to say about the soundtrack:

“I am a huge WWE fan. I love the intensity and the competition and I wanted fans to feel that energy in the soundtrack for WWE 2K17. While prepping for the upcoming Bad Boy 20-Year Family Reunion Tour, I’ve been thinking a lot about the past and the artists that inspired me. I mixed some of my favorites with some of the best new acts in the game today to create something really special.”

With WWE 2K17 being released in two months — October 11 — more and more news has been trickling surrounding the widely popular game. Notable superstars such as the cover-boy Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Sasha Banks, Ultimate Warror, Apollo Crews, Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Booker T, and many more have already been confirmed as part of the game.

Mike’s Take: I get the WWE 2K game every year — usually at a midnight release with some buddies of mine. I love the hype before each game, even though it often does not feel that much different than the previous installment, but I’m a sucker for updated rosters.

Props to the 2K marketing squad, they know how to promote a game. Between the exciting Goldberg trailer, the incredible pre-order NXT package, and now getting Sean Combs — aka P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Diddy, Biggie’s Buddy — to help out with the soundtrack and promotion, this is a game with a significant amount of hype around it.
