1989 – At Clash Of The Champions VIII: Fall Brawl ’89 The Steiner Brothers earned their first-ever shot at the World Tag Team titles challenging The Fabulous Freebirds. In the main event, Sting and Ric Flair took on Dick Slater and The Great Muta.
1991 – Chris Von Erich committed suicide at the age of just 21.
1999 – WCW Fall Brawl came from North Carolina. This was the first edition of the annual pay-per-view to not feature the signature War Games match. In the main event, Sting defeated Hulk Hogan for the WCW Championship. It was to be his sixth and final run with that belt. Notably, Sting turned heel at the conclusion of the match after hitting Hogan with a baseball bat brought to the ring by Lex Luger.
On the undercard Goldberg competed against Diamond Dallas Page, Sid Vicious took on Chris Benoit and The West Texas Rednecks defended the World Tag Team Titles against Harlem Heat.
2004 – At WWE Unforgiven Triple H challenged Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the Raw branded pay-per-view. On the undercard, Chris Jericho defeated Christian in a ladder match for the vacant Intercontinental Title.
2006 – For the first time ever, an ECW card was held in the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. In the main event, ECW Champion The Big Show defeated Sabu in an Extreme Rules match.
2017 – In the finals of the Mae Young Classic Kari Sane defeated Shayna Baszler.
2020 – Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois played host to one of Warrior Wrestling’s Stadium Series shows. The main event saw Kylie Ray defeat Tessa Blanchard to become Warrior Wrestling Women’s Champion. The show also featured The Rascalz, Brian Cage and Joey Janela.
