Updated WWE TLC Lineup for This Sunday Including Chairs Match and Mixed Match Challenge Finals – 12 Matches!
This Sunday night at the SAP Center in San Jose, California it’s time for WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The final World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-view of the year will feature a whopping 12 matches, which is more than what WWE usually does for PPVs. The last three regular PPVs (not counting international shows) were Survivor Series, Evolution and Hell in a Cell with all of them going with seven matches on the main card. In the case of TLC, we don’t know what matches are on the Kickoff Show yet, so maybe that’s something WWE is going to announce in the next few days. I would guess that maybe three of the matches will be on the Kickoff Show as a way to give fans more of a reason to watch and then nine matches can run on the main card.
Two matches were added on Tuesday with Smackdown’s Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio set to clash in a Chairs Match. That was obvious because of Orton attacking Mysterio numerous times with steel chairs and there were no other chairs matches on the card prior to yesterday.
The Mixed Match Challenge finals are set after Raw’s Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox got a big win over Apollo Crews and Bayley. On the Smackdown side, R-Truth and Carmella got the upset win over The Miz and Asuka when that team imploded as Asuka destroyed Miz with a kick to the head. (Read my Mixed Match Challenge review here.) The Mahal/Fox and Truth/Carmella teams were 1-3 in the round robin portion of the Mixed Match Challenge, then they won both of their playoff matches and now they are in the finals. The winners of that match get to be #30 in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.
Here’s the full card with 12 matches. As I said, nothing has been announced for the Kickoff Show yet, but I expect some announcement for that by the end of the week.
WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles
Smackdown Women’s Championship TLC Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka
Intercontinental Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match: Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin (If Strowman wins, he challenges Lesnar for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble. If Corbin wins, he is full-time GM of Raw.) – Strowman is questionable to make the match due to elbow surgery, so it’s unknown if it will take place.
Raw Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nia Jax
Smackdown Tag Team Championships: The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre
Chairs Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton
Ladder Match With a Guitar Above the Ring: Elias vs. Bobby Lashley
Tables Match: Natalya vs. Ruby Riott
Cruiserweight Championship: Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Cedric Alexander
Finals of Mixed Match Challenge: Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox vs. R-Truth and Carmella
What match should main event? I set up a poll on Twitter yesterday and there is one match that got the most votes as you can see below.

That’s overwhelming with over 60% of the vote going to the women’s TLC match. That’s a good choice to me too.
We will have a TJRWrestling WWE TLC preview up on the site on Friday or perhaps Saturday morning. Thanks for reading.
