Updated WWE SummerSlam Lineup – Eight Matches Official Including Hair vs. Hair Match
The next WWE pay-per-view on the calendar is SummerSlam on Sunday, August 23. The event is taking place at WWE’s new home (for now) in Orlando called Amway Center where the Orlando Magic normally play basketball. WWE has held many events there in the past.
This week on Smackdown, two more women’s matches were confirmed for SummerSlam with Asuka winning a battle royal with other women from Raw, Smackdown and NXT. As a result of that victory, Asuka will challenge Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Title in addition to challenging Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Title also at SummerSlam. That means Asuka is wrestling twice.
In addition to that, Mandy Rose challenged Sonya Deville to a Hair vs. Hair Match because Sonya cut some of Mandy’s hair on Smackdown two weeks ago. The stipulation means that the loser will likely have her head shaved bald.
Speaking of bald, the photo you see below is a bit outdated already because Strowman is now bald. It’s not like he had that much hair on his head anyway.
Here’s the SummerSlam lineup at this point.
WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton
Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Raw Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka
Street Fight: Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio
Hair vs. Hair Match: Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Asuka
Raw Tag Team Championships: The Street Profits – Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza
United States Championship: Apollo Crews (c) vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
It’s not known right now how many matches there will be. Eight seems like a full card, but it’s very possible WWE adds more matches to the card.
