This past Saturday night, we found that WWE will be having two nights of WrestleMania 37 just like last year. WrestleMania will begin on Saturday, April 10 and then continue on Sunday, April 11. All of it takes place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida with WWE planning on having fans in attendances while following social distancing guidelines. More details on that coming soon.
We also found from PWInsider that WWE is bringing back the Fastlane pay-per-view this year with a planned date of March 21, which would mean it is just three weeks before WrestleMania. Fastlane is expected to take place at the ThunderDome setup at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida. That may be one of WWE’s final shows there since Major League Baseball season usually starts in the last week of March, so the Tampa Bay Rays will need the stadium. We don’t know what WWE is doing after March in terms of show locations.
There was no Fastlane PPV last year, but WWE used the Fastlane name for February PPVs in 2015 and 2016. From 2017 to 2019, they used the Fastlane PPV in March as the last PPV before WrestleMania just like it will be this year.
Here’s how the WWE Network Pay-Per-View lineup looks for the first four months of 2021 including WWE NXT Takeover.
Sunday, January 31 – Royal Rumble from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Sunday, February 14 – WWE NXT Takeover 33 from WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.
Sunday, February 21 – Elimination Chamber from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Sunday, March 21 – Fastlane from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 – WrestleMania 37 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
It’s not known what the rest of the WWE NXT Takeover schedule is like this year. They usually do five or six Takeover’s per year, so there could be another Takeover in April.
That’s the update for now.
