Updated WrestleMania 35 Lineup: WWE Title Match Officially Added, Falls Count Anywhere Match, More News

TJR Wrestling

There were some additions and changes to the WrestleMania 35 lineup following WWE Smackdown Live last night. Read my WWE Smackdown Live review here.

WrestleMania takes place on Sunday, April 7 at 5pmET with the Kickoff Show and the main show starts at 7pmET. It could be a seven-hour night.

* Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title match with Daniel Bryan was officially granted this week after his New Day buddies Big E and Xavier Woods on a five-team Gauntlet Match on Smackdown. It should have been announced officially last week, but here we are. The crowd is solidly behind Kingston and it’s possible that he wins the WWE Title on April 7.

* A stipulation was added to Shane McMahon’s match against The Miz because The Miz asked for it to be a Falls Count Anywhere. Miz claimed he wanted to beat up Shane all over MetLife Stadium. Shane agreed to the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation.

* Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship in a match that wasn’t promoted at all. Asuka was originally going to face the winner of Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville vs. Carmella vs. Naomi at WrestleMania. That match never took place because plans changed. Flair ended up winning a great match after nearly 20 minutes.

What isn’t known is if this changes the Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch match at WrestleMania, which was for the Raw Women’s Title. Does this mean the Smackdown Women’s Title is on the line too and it’s winner take all? For now, it’s just for the Raw Women’s Championship. They could add the SD Women’s Title to the match next week. I think it’s very possible both titles will be on the line, but for now, it’s just the Raw Women’s Championship.

Where does this leave Asuka? Probably in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, which sucks, but I know where else she would go.

Here’s the lineup. Don’t get mad at me for choosing that graphic above. I didn’t book the match.

* Raw Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

* Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins

* WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kofi Kingston

* No Holds Barred Match: Triple H vs. Batista (Triple H Must Retire if He Loses)

* Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles

* Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

* Falls Count Anywhere Match: Shane McMahon vs. The Miz

* United States Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

* Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin (Angle’s Retirement Match)

* Intercontinental Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Finn Balor

* Women’s Tag Team Championships: Sasha Banks and Bayley (c) vs. Tamina and Nia Jax vs. Natalya and Beth Phoenix vs. (The IIconics) Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

* Andre the Giant Men’s Battle Royal – Braun Strowman, Colin Jost and Michael Che are in it.

* Cruiserweight Championship: Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Tony Nese

That’s 13 matches there. Three more could be added.

The WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal hasn’t been mentioned on WWE TV at all, but it’s expected to take place.

There are no matches announced for Raw Tag Team Titles (held by The Revival) or the Smackdown Tag Team Titles (held by The Usos), so if those titles are added then that’s two more matches.

Alexa Bliss is the host of WrestleMania. Elias is a musical guest at WrestleMania. Joan Jett will sing “Bad Reputation” for Ronda Rousey’s entrance at WrestleMania.

I will have a more in-depth WrestleMania News and Rumors column on Friday, which is what I’ve been doing for the last five weeks. That will be the last one because next week it’s time to post the WrestleMania preview.
