Updated Lineup For This Sunday’s ‘WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs’ After Raw

TJR Wrestling

Yesterday was the last edition of Monday Night Raw before WWE’s seventh annual TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view event. New matches as well as stipulations to previously announced matches were revealed on this week’s Raw. The following is an updated lineup for WWE TLC on December 13. As always, the card is subject to change but this is what has been announced so far.

Please note that (c) refers to the champion/s heading into the match.

TLC Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus (c) vs. Roman Reigns

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

Triple Threat Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. The Usos vs. The Lucha Dragons

WWE Divas Championship Match: Charlotte (c) with Ric Flair vs. Paige

Chairs Match for the WWE United States Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger

8-Man Elimination Tables Match: The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno

It’s possible they may add Rusev vs. Ryback based on their issues in the last few weeks, but that’s not official after Raw.

Mark’s reaction:

So far we’ve got six matches announced for the show. We may see another Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze match announced on Smackdown. I only say this because WWE’s YouTube page as well as WWE.com released a short minute and a half video of Dolph Ziggler giving a promo about how he’s frustrated with where he is at in his career right now. At the end of the clip Breeze mocks him and they brush shoulders. Ziggler’s promo comes across as very authentic and raw so maybe WWE can show this video on Smackdown and on TLC before their match (again, just guessing they’ll have a match). It’s a promo that should have been done on Raw, but I think WWE could capitalize on this video by showing it beforehand a few times. I’ll include the clip below if you’d like to check it out. (Thank you John Canton for posting this on your Facebook page because I probably wouldn’t have seen it otherwise haha.)

As for the matches we have so far, TLC’s shaping up to be a solid show. There are a few matches here that I’m really looking forward too. The Wyatt Family vs. the Dudley’s, Dreamer, and Rhyno could be a lot of fun. I really like the “tag team tables elimination match” concept. It’s a fun twist on the traditional elimination tag match. In preparation for this Sunday, I’d suggest checking out a six-man tag team tables elimination match from Survivor Series 2002. The match is 3 Minute Warning (Rosey, Jamal, and Rico) vs. Bubba Ray Dudley, Spike Dudley, and Jeff Hardy. It’s not a technical masterpiece by any means but it’s a very enjoyable and fun match with a lot of cool spots. Hopefully this Sunday’s match can be as good as or better than that one.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose should be great too. I was disappointed with their match at last month’s Survivor Series as it didn’t last as long I would have hoped. If they get the time, this could be the best match of the night. Here’s to hoping for no count out or disqualification finishes and to 15 – 20 minutes worth of wrestling.

Which match are you most looking forward to for TLC? Do you see Roman Reigns walking out as WWE World Heavyweight Champion? Are you predicting there to be any twists or big surprises? Keep the conversation going by leaving your thoughts in the comment section below.
