Updated WWE Money in the Bank PPV Lineup for May 19, Becky “Two Belts” Lynch to Defend Both Titles

TJR Wrestling

There were two more matches added to the WWE Money in the Bank lineup during last night’s edition of Smackdown. Money in the Bank takes place on May 19 (sorry Kane) in Hartford, Connecticut.

The first match added to the card from the Smackdown side is Roman Reigns vs. Elias. That was set up this week when Elias and his new buddy Shane McMahon double teamed Reigns in the ring, nobody helped Reigns and Elias dropped Reigns with the Drift Away neckbreaker. Elias issued the challenge, Reigns accepted and the match is now.

The Smackdown Women’s Title will also be on the line in a very familiar match as Becky Lynch defends the title against former champion Charlotte, who is an 8-time Women’s Champion. Flair beat Bayley in a match that was unofficially a number one contender’s match, so Flair gets another chance at the title.

On Raw this week, we also learned that Seth Rollins will defend the Universal Title against AJ Styles while Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans, who has only won one singles match on Raw.

Lynch defending both titles at Money in the Bank was reported by the Wrestling Observer after Raw, which we reported here, and it’s true. Since it’s also Money in the Bank night, the women’s winner of Money in the Bank could also challenge Lynch or whoever the champion is as well.

Here’s how the lineup looks right now:

Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. AJ Styles

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

Roman Reigns vs. Elias

Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lacey Evans

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match – Participants to be announced soon.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match – Participants to be announced soon.

Based on what happened at the end of Smackdown, I would expect Kofi Kingston defending the WWE Title against Kevin Owens on this show as well.

In addition to those matches, we will find out the Raw competitors for the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches next week on Raw during the Alexa Bliss “A Moment of Bliss” talk show segment.

On Smackdown, they didn’t mention if we will find out the Smackdown names next week as well. I assume we will, but there was no indication of that.
