Hey yo. I like starting these posts out like a Scott Hall promo from 20 years ago.
This is just a news post to let you know I won’t be able to complete the reviews of every WWE SummerSlam. I stopped at SummerSlam 2000 because it’s a time issue for me. I simply don’t have the time or the energy to continue them even though I had a few others (2003, 2004 and recent years) done. When I originally set out to do this in mid-July I was writing at two websites (this one as well as The Comeback) and doing another job unrelated to writing. Since then, I’ve added a writing job with UPROXX as well that I love and also keeps me very busy. It has left me with very little free time. I haven’t even had time to do those Q&A posts that I enjoy doing because of how busy life is.
I know it’s an excuse and I’m sorry because I know some people enjoyed the reviews while others got upset at me for not finishing them. I hope you can understand where I’m coming from and know being ridiculously busy in my life is good for me. I’m genuinely happy these days, which hasn’t been the case in the last few years. I’d rather be busy than bored, that’s for sure.
Here’s the link to the SummerSlam Reviews if you missed any of them and want to check them out. I could find time for these reviews later in the year and may post them randomly on the site. For the last two years I’ve also done retro PPV reviews for TJRWrestling and Rajah.com going in order with the last one being Unforgiven 2004, so I may pick those back up soon too. I don’t know for sure.
I will still have my regular reviews of current WWE stuff (Raw, Smackdown, PPVs) going forward here on TJRWrestling. That won’t change.
I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to do the TJRWrestling writer search this month as well because we need more writers. Maybe in two or three weeks.
In addition to being a wrestling guy, I’m also a big fan of the National Football League and will be doing weekly NFL picks columns for UPROXX starting this week (most likely on Fridays). As I do every year, I’ve set up two NFL Pick ‘Em pools on ESPN for fans to join and compete against other readers of TJRWrestling. There’s no cost and also no prize. Here’s the info on how to sign up.
Go to ESPN.com, login with an account (it’s easy to set up) and just use these links to join the two groups.

That’s all for now. Back tomorrow with the Raw Deal.
