Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Set For WWE NXT TakeOver: Back to Brooklyn

Samoa Joe officially has an opponent for his NXT Championship once the yellow brand returns to Brooklyn, New York on August 20.

Tonight’s (July 27) edition of NXT saw General Manager William Regal make the big announcement. The “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe will be defending his NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Back to Brooklyn against none other than “The King of Strong Style” himself, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Joe refused to face Nakamura at first, claiming that Nakamura was an undeserving contender. However, Regal told Joe that if he did not agree to face Nakamura in Brooklyn that he would strip Joe of his title and find someone else to face Nakamura for the NXT Championship. Joe eventually agreed to wrestle Nakamura, but told Regal that threatening Joe was the worst decision he’s ever made because he’s going to decimate Nakamura just like he did Balor.
