Rusev Will Defend U.S. Title Against Titus O’Neil At WWE Money In The Bank

TJR Wrestling

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Titus O’Neil will be challenging Rusev for the United States Title at WWE Money in the Bank on Sunday, June 19. This was made official today by WWE.com and WWE’s official YouTube channel.

This is a big match in the career of Titus O’Neil as it will be the first time he is challenging for a singles title in WWE. His match against Rusev at Money in the Bank is not much of a surprise as many could have insinuated that this would be the road both men were heading down after their altercations on Raw and Smackdown the last two weeks.

Here’s Michael Cole’s weekly WWE.com interview with Titus O’Neil that was released today. O’Neil comments on his match with Rusev, opens up about his suspension earlier in the year and talks about what it means to him to challenge for the U.S. Title on Father’s Day, June 19.

With this U.S. Title match added to Money in the Bank, the lineup for that show currently looks like this:

Please note that (c) refers to the champion/s heading into the match.
