TNA Impact Review – June 19, 2025
A 10-man Champions vs Challengers tag match headlined this week’s TNA Impact.
The opening video focused on the events of last week’s show where Eric Young attacked Sami Callihan, and we had a big brawl to end the First Class vs Hardys main event.
TNA Impact 19/6/25 from the Mullett Arena, Tempe: AZ by Kristian Thompson
Match #1: Sami Callihan vs Eric Young w/ The Northern Armory
The commentators billed the show as the 23rd anniversary of TNA wrestling. Fitting that we open the show with two wrestlers that I feel like I’ve been watching for 23 years, they have both become a little bland nowadays. That being said, Young has been in TNA since the beginning so I actually have been watching him for that long! He’s 4th for most matches wrestled in TNA history. Callihan attacked Williams and Icarus before the match. Bald Sami is a weird look that I don’t think I’m used to. Callihan dropped Young with a right hand at ringside and grabbed a steel chair. Young kicked him to stop the chair shot. He took the chair but missed a wild swing against the steel ring steps. Callihan tossed Young back into the ring to officially begin the match. Young hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a 2 count. With his white beard, he looks like a stumpy version of Goldberg. They exchanged right hands. Young took Callihan down and scored a 2 count. He tossed Sami to the outside to let his henchmen do the dirty work. They tossed Callihan back into the ring and Young got another 2 count. Young repeated the dose and distracted the referee again. He tried for a count out win but Callihan made it back in before 10. Young went straight for a pin and got a nearfall. He chopped Callihan in the corner and hit a scoop slam. Young went up top for his elbow drop but Callihan cut him off. Callihan wanted a superplex but Young bit his forehead to send him to the mat. Young went for an axe handle but Callihan hit him in the ribs. Young blocked the Cactus Driver and raked Callihan’s eyes. Young tried a piledriver and Callihan raked his eyes then hit a flatliner. He went up top and nailed his elbow drop for 2. Young snapped and went to strike the referee then went outside to the commentary table and threatened them. He went back into the ring but Callihan grabbed him by the little Erics. The referee should’ve disqualified him there but she didn’t so Callihan nailed a Stunner for 2. He called for the Cactus Driver but Williams came into the ring. Callihan sent him to the outside but Young distracted the referee so Judas Icarus entered and nailed Callihan with a steel chair to the ribs. Young hit the piledriver to win the match after 7 minutes.
Winner by pinfall: Eric Young
Analysis: **3/4 There was a lot of interference and shenanigans which probably shows you where both of these men are at in terms of their match quality nowadays, where they can’t just rely on straight up wrestling to get the job done. The referee was very poor in this match, too
Gia Miller was backstage with the challengers for tonight’s main event: The Rascalz, Elijah, Joe Hendry and Leon Slater. It’s weird seeing Elijah here (taped show) when he got seriously injured on NXT and is on the shelf for the foreseeable future. Miller asked how everyone was feeling. Hendry said it’s been a tough few weeks for TNA and Hendry. He says the people still believe and he believes in this team. Elijah said he was with Hendry and the rest of the team. Slater talked up his chances of beating Moose at Slammiversary and winning tonight. The Rascalz made some stoner jokes. They’re lame. They ragged on Steve Maclin because he’s the only face on the Champions team.
Analysis: That should be a fun main event tonight.
Order 4 Summit
Mustafa Ali ordered the rest of his team to stay on the ring apron while he spoke. He said he would be performing a job evaluation on the other 3. He invited Tasha Steelz in the ring first. Ali said that Order 4 has given her everything she asked for and all she had to do was protect his name against propaganda. He said she’s done a terrible job and that he knows that she’s been calling ‘him’. Ali demanded to see her phone. He noted that she had talked to ‘him’ today. Ali demanded an apology. Steelz reluctantly complied. Ali called Jason Hotch into the ring next. He called Hotch the biggest idiot he’s ever met in his life. Ali asked what Hotch was thinking by questioning his leadership. Hotch said he stood up for Steelz when he put his hands on her. Ali asked who pays his mortgage. He said he was the only man standing in the ring right now. Ali demanded another apology. Hotch reluctantly apologised. Ali called in John Skyler last. He called him the most loyal member of Order 4. Skyler snatched the microphone away. He questioned Ali’s actions. Skyler told Ali that he needed to follow his own advice and that Order 4 was spiraling out of control. Ali took the mic back. He got right in Skyler’s face. Ali said he wouldn’t tolerate weakness and that Skyler was the weakest link, so he should apologise. He told Skyler that he had to get on his hands and knees to do it. Skyler said he wouldn’t’ so Ali pushed him but Skyler shoved Ali to the mat. Ali retreated to the floor and challenged Skyler to a ‘Call to Arms’ match next week. The commentators wondered what that was.
Analysis: An effective segment to continue the dissension in the group. It feels like a face turn is coming for The Great Hands. That was probably Skyler’s best microphone work in TNA so far.
.@TheJohnSkyler has reached his breaking point with @MustafaAli_X! The two clash in a Call to Arms Match NEXT WEEK on #TNAiMPACT!

There was a Killer Kelly vignette about her upcoming Knockouts Title match.
Match #2: Non-Title Match: The Elegance Brand vs Masha Slamovich & Lei Ying Lee
Ash and Lee started the match. Ash was being silly in her warm up and didn’t want anything to do with Lee so she tagged out to Heather. Heather avoided a kick and cowered into the corner so Ash tagged back in. Lee had had enough of Ash so she tagged in Slamovich. Ash brought her phone into the ring to try and translate what Lee was saying and ran into a slam from Slamovich. My brain was hurting at this point. Lee tagged in and hit a double-team kick in the corner. She tossed Ash out of the ring and went after her with a cannonball from the apron. Slamovich did a twisting dive through the middle rope to take out both Elegances.
(Commercial break)
Lee pinned Ash for a 2 count as we came back to the action. She hit her 10 punches in the corner and a nice T-Bone suplex for 2. Ash bailed to the outside again. Lee tried to follow her but Heather cut her off with a kick on the apron. Ash rolled her into the ring for a 2 count. She tossed Lee into the corner and tagged in Heather. Lee rolled her up quickly for 2. Heather pulled Lee down by the braids then tossed her into the corner and tagged Ash back in. Ash hit a backbreaker and held Lee in place while Heather did a double-stomp from the top rope and Ash scored a 2 count. Ash knocked Slamovich off the apron with a cheap shot, so M sent Lee flying into the ring post, with the referee distracted. Heather tossed Lee back into the ring and Ash got a nearfall. Ash tried a few chops in the corner to little effect. Lee hit her own chops and a leg sweep. She nailed a dropkick with Ash against the middle rope and scored a 2 count. Ash avoided a powerbomb attempt and hit a running Meteora for 2. Heather tagged back in and hit a running forearm in the corner. Lee blocked a suplex attempt and hit a swinging neckbreaker for 2. Lee finally stretched out and made a tag to Slamovich, as did Heather. Slamovich took both Elegances down with clotheslines and covered Ash for 2. Heather saved Ash from Requiem and they hit a double-team Code Breaker but Lee broke the pin up. Lee tossed Heather to the outside, and Ash disposed of her. Heather tossed Lee into the ring post. Ash took too long to follow up so Slamovich hit a step-up kick. Killer Kelly’s music hit so Ash shoved Slamovich to the mat and hit Rarified Air for the win after 8 ½ minutes.
Winners by pinfall: The Elegance Brand
Analysis: **3/4 I’m all for the Tag champs winning matches but it doesn’t have to come at the expense of pinning the World Champion. Solid match but too much interference, as it is with almost all of the Elegance matches.
Here comes @mashaslamovich!

The Iinspiration were watching backstage. Gia Miller asked what they thought. Jessie McKay said they had been tag champs before and could do it again. Cassie Lee said they were watching and they are coming for their titles.
Let’s Hear From Santino
Santino Marella was fired up and said next week was must see with AJ Francis vs Mike Santana in a street fight. Marella invited Tommy Dreamer to the ring. Dreamer was assaulted by Mance Warner last week. Marella said anytime he wanted Warner, he could make it happen. Warner’s music hit and he and SDL made their way to the ring. SDL said Dreamer was cool in 1996 and she wasn’t even born then. She called him old and washed. The fans chanted that which was funny. SDL called Warner the most violent man in TNA. Dreamer told SDL that this business was about moments and it’s not quite his time but it might be this man’s time…Jake Something hit the ring and took down Warner with an Avalanche. SDL and Warner backed up the ramp.
Analysis: Good to see Something back although as long as it wasn’t Dreamer wrestling then it had to be good.
They showed highlights of Tessa Blanchard leaving her team high and dry last week. Indi Hartwell confronted her backstage. Blanchard recapped their history together. Indi said she used to believe in Tessa but not anymore. Blanchard walked away.
Analysis: That would be a fun feud but it’s time for one of them to be in the title picture.
Match #3: The System w/ Brian Myers vs Matt Cardona & ???
Cardona’s partner was The Hometown Man. I hate this gimmick. Deaner sucks and so does whoever writes this garbage. I was too annoyed to watch the rest of the match but it ended with Edwards trying to unmask Deaner, but Deaner rolled him up to win the match after 4 minutes.
Winners by pinfall: Matt Cardona & The Hometown Man
Analysis: ** Cardona tried to stop the beatdown after the match and faced off with his old tag partner Myers. The System beat down both the Hometown Man and Cardona.
Analysis: They have just shoved Cardona into the face role since Against All Odds and it doesn’t quite feel right yet.
Next Week:
* Battle Royal for the TNA Knockouts World Title #1 Contendership
* Call To Arms match: Mustafa Ali vs John Skyler
* Street Fight: AJ Francis vs Mike Santana
Match #4: 10-Man Tag match: Champions: Trick Williams, The Nemeths, Steve Maclin & Moose vs Challengers: The Rascalz, Joe Hendry, Elijah & Leon Slater
There were 8 minutes of entrances before the match began. Elijah and Nic Nemeth kicked off. Elijah used his power early. Nic targeted the left arm but Elijah flipped over using the ropes to reverse the hold. Very nice. Nic hit a nice dropkick but Elijah fought back with a flying clothesline. Elijah went to the top and nailed a double knees. He tagged in Zach Wentz. Nic didn’t Maclin straight in. Maclin got in Nic’s face. Wentz hit a nice arm drag and a second one. He avoided a sidewalk slam and tagged in Miguel. Wentz hit a dropkick. No one wanted to tag in for Maclin so he chopped Ryan to tag him in. Ryan wouldn’t get in the ring so Maclin reached over the top and tossed him in. Miguel hit a dropkick and tagged Wentz back in. Nic tried to run in and ate some Rascalz double-team offense. Wentz nailed Ryan with a big knee and tagged Williams in. Wentz avoided a kick and hit one on Williams. Miguel made a blind tag and Wentz hit a double stomp on Williams. Moose tried to interfere and got sent over the top. They nailed double moonsaults on Trick and Moose on the outside. Miguel went up high but Nic slowed him up. Trick tagged in Moose and he nailed a spear on Miguel but Slater broke up the pin.
(Commercial break)
Williams was in control of Miguel as we returned to the action. He stomped on Miguel in the middle rope, then choked him out with his knee. Nic and Ryan hit some cheap shots behind the referee’s back. Williams tried an arrogant cover but Miguel kicked out at 1. Williams tagged in Maclin but Moose slapped Maclin to tag himself in. Maclin tagged in but Nic stopped him and tagged in. Maclin was getting clearly frustrated with his team. Nic stretched Miguel out in the middle of the ring. He feigned hitting a superkick on Hendry in the corner. Nic tagged Williams back in. He hit a suplex and got in Hendry’s face. Williams hit a snapmare on Miguel and a dropkick for 2. He hit Wentz with an upper cut to knock him off the apron. Hendry came in and got a few shots in before the referee told him to retreat. Williams hit a scoop slam on Miguel. He tried a back suplex but Miguel hit a springboard moonsault to finally get the tag to Slater. Moose tagged in, too. Slater hit a diving clothesline in the corner. Moose tried Go to Hell but Slater hit a hurricanrana then sent Moose into the corner. Slater took out both Nemeths as they tried to interfere. He ran at Moose but Moose hung him up on the top rope. Maclin refused to tag in so Moose tagged Trick. Williams hit a jumping kick on Slater and tagged in Maclin. Ryan tagged straight in and pulled Slater back to his corner. Nic tagged in and went to work on Slater in the corner. Moose got some cheap shots in. Nic held Slater’s leg so he couldn’t get to his corner. Ryan tagged in. He hit some elbow strikes and tagged Moose back in. Slater blocked a suplex attempt. Moose chopped him hard but Slater reversed the suplex into one of his own. Slater almost made the tag but Moose held him back. He made it to Hendry but the referee was dealing with Nic Nemeth. Nic tagged in and kept Slater stuck in the corner. Moose tagged in again and Moose grounded him with a sleeper. He hit a Uranage. Moose lined Slater up for a spear but Slater turned it into an inside cradle for 2. Moose tried another Uranage but Slater rolled him up for 2. He went for a powerbomb but Slater turned it into a DDT. Maclin and Ryan were fighting on the apron. Nic nailed him with a superkick. Moose tagged Nic and Slater tagged Hendry. Hendry nailed a Fallaway. The crowd was loving it. Hendry took down Ryan with a Fallaway. He span around to face Williams. Hendry nailed some upper cuts and a Fallaway. He measured Nic for the Standing Ovation but Ryan saved Nic. Nic tagged Ryan in. Hendry took them both down with a double clothesline. He tagged Elijah. Elijah hit a back kick on Ryan and a forearm in the corner. He chopped Ryan in the corner as the crowd sang for him. Ryan blocked a clothesline attempt. He jumped off the top rope but Elijah hit a knee strike in mid-air. Williams ran in and took down Elijah. He hit a spinning kick on Slater. Hendry clotheslined Williams over the top rope but ran into a boot from Moose. The Rascalz hit a superkick/ Crucifix Bomb combo on Moose. The Nemeths sent them to the outside. Nic nailed Elijah with a superkick. Ryan had Maclin’s International Title. Maclin took it off him and nailed Nic over the head with it at ringside. Hendry nailed Ryan with a huge Standing Ovation. Elijah hit the Highwayman’s Farewell to win the match after 19 minutes.
Winners by pinfall: The Rascalz, Joe Hendry, Elijah & Leon Slater
Analysis: ***1/2 That main event was a lot of fun with everyone getting their moves in and then Steve Maclin finally having enough of being on the heel team and snapping. Elijah injured his triceps on NXT and will be out for several months which is a shame because I have enjoyed his work in TNA so far. One thing I will say is that I am not enjoying this Trick Williams World Title reign. They’re cheapening the title by having it on a non-TNA wrestler. Why would anyone in the locker room want to team with him, when he has their World Title? Let’s hope Santana or Hendry win it back at Slammiversary as it was cool for a bit of buzz, but it’s just not working for me.

Final Rating: 6/10
There were only 4 matches on this week’s show, with a longer-than-usual main event. We have had some really short main events lately so it was good that there was almost 20 minutes of televised wrestling time at the end of the show. The rest of the show was largely forgettable, however they are doing a solid job of building up some undercard feuds and the women’s division has absolutely had a rejuvenation as of late. All I said was needed were more wrestlers and TNA have brought in at least half a dozen new or returning faces in the last month. Mustafa Ali continues to carry his stable and is doing excellent work. If anyone can make The Great Hands watchable, then I applaud him. The System seem to be stuck in a bit of a holding pattern, apart from Moose. I’m interested to see what else they can do as a unit in TNA, if anything. We are still 4 weeks from Slammiversary so there’s plenty of time to finalise the card but at present it’s moving forward at a slow but steady pace.
The next TNA PLE is Slammiversary on Sunday July 20th. Here’s the card so far:
* TNA X-Division Championship: Moose (c) vs Leon Slater
