The John Report: WWE Raw Deal 05/05/25 Review

WWE Raw Deal May 5

It’s WWE Raw featuring a Gunther-Pat McAfee confrontation, Iyo Sky facing Roxanne Perez, Rusev’s WWE return match against Otis, and much more.

This is the final Raw episode before the WWE Backlash PLE from St. Louis on Saturday night.

This is the Raw Deal for episode #1667 of Monday Night Raw. It’s taking place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Follow me on Twitter/X @johnreport. Let’s get to it.

There was a video package about last week’s Raw when Seth Rollins warned his friend Sami Zayn not to be against Seth and his friends. Zayn told Rollins to go to hell. That led to Bron Breakker beating up Zayn in a match. The trio of Rollins, Breakker, and Paul Heyman stood tall to end Raw for a second week in a row.

The opening pre-show walking was shown of Iyo Sky, Roxanne Perez, Otis with friends, Rusev and Gunther.

It was Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary. Alicia Taylor was the ring announcer.

Let’s Hear from Jey Uso

The World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso made his entrance from the upper level of the arena, then he made his way down to the ring and did the Yeeting hand gestures with the packed arena full of fans. The fans were chanting “one more time” so Jey signaled for his music to play and that led to more Yeeting from Jey with the fans.

Jey said he is here and he knows Logan Paul is here, so where are you at?

Instead of Logan Paul, it was the “Wise Man” Paul Heyman, who was booed loudly. Heyman said he wasn’t there to disrespect the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso. Heyman looked very tanned this week. Just saying. Jey said that Paul had a lot of balls stepping into the ring with him after what Heyman did to his family. Heyman wondered if Jey was going to lecture him about betraying Roman Reigns. Jey said that he warned Roman Reigns and CM Punk about Heyman. Heyman said that maybe Jey should have warned Heyman about Punk. Heyman said that his best friend CM Punk put Heyman in a position where it guaranteed that it would sabotage…and the fans interrupted with a loud “CM Punk” chant. Heyman said they don’t know what’s in the dark heart of that man. Heyman said that Punk put Heyman in a position to sabotage Heyman’s relationship with Roman Reigns.

Heyman mentioned Reigns, so there were “OTC” chants for the “Original Tribal Chief” Reigns. Heyman said he was friends with CM Punk long before Reigns got into wrestling. Heyman wondered why Reigns thought that Heyman would give Punk the secrets of Reigns after Heyman built The Bloodline for five years. The fans booed that. Heyman said that he found a stray big dog, he turned him into the Tribal Chief and the ruler of the WWE Universe. Heyman talked about how “We” held the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for 1,316 days. Heyman said that he’s not the one that got beat by Cody Rhodes – it was Reigns. Heyman complained about how Reigns left, so then Heyman got attacked by Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and the Tongans. Heyman said that Reigns didn’t come back to avenge Heyman, but to get the Ula Fala back. Heyman went on a screaming rant about how he is always blamed for being the bad guy and turning on people, but he said he was right. Heyman said “screw you to” Jey and “screw you” to the fans. The fans chanted “screw you” at Heyman. There was also an “A**hole” chant for Heyman.

Jey asked Heyman if he was okay and what this had to do with him. Heyman said it had nothing to do with him and that he didn’t come here to talk about Roman Reigns and CM Punk.

Heyman said that Jey won that title because he wanted that title. Heyman said that title is about power and control, but Jey doesn’t know how to yield power and control. Heyman said that Jey doesn’t understand that. Heyman said Jey needs and wants to be champion, but Heyman said that Rollins “has” to be champion. Heyman said that Rollins has to have that control. Rollins said that Bron Breakker was just stage one of their plan and stage two is that title. Heyman said he’ll let Jey pick the night that he loses the World Heavyweight Championship because Seth “Freakin” Rollins challenges Jey for the World Heavyweight Championship. Heyman said that Rollins beat Reigns and Punk at WrestleMania. Heyman said that the favor for Jey is that Jey gets to pick the time and the place because Rollins will fight Jey for that title anytime and at any place.

Jey asked if Heyman did just say anytime, any place, anywhere against Seth Freakin Rollins? Jey said that it’s on tonight…Yeet! The fans cheered loudly while Jey held the World Title in Heyman’s face. Cole said that Heyman manipulated Jey to put the title on the line tonight.

Analysis: That was an awesome promo from Paul Heyman. He was fired up and screaming about how people blamed him for what happened at WrestleMania, but Heyman felt his actions were justified, so he screamed about it. Jey saying he would defend the World Title against Rollins on Raw is obviously a big deal, so it sets up a huge match for later in the show. I think most people were assuming Jey against Logan Paul for the title at Backlash, but it sounds like we get Jey against Rollins first.

A recap aired of Dominik Mysterio beating Penta two weeks ago because of JD McDonagh. Last week on Raw, Penta cost JD and Finn Balor in a tag team match against the War Raiders.

Penta made his entrance for singles action. JD McDonagh also made his entrance during the break for some fans.

Seth Rollins was backstage with Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman, who said that Rollins was so right. Rollins said, “I told you so,” to celebrate that. Rollins left. Heyman talked to Bron about how Rollins beat Reigns and Punk at WrestleMania when Rollins had time to prepare. Heyman said that Jey Uso is no easy day in the park, but Jey isn’t focused on Rollins because he’s focused on Logan Paul. Heyman said that Rollins is focused on Jey because there’s nobody left. Heyman said that Rollins has Jey in his sights. Heyman said tonight they get the keys to the kingdom when the referee hands the World Heavyweight Championship to Seth Freakin Rollins. Bron was smiling.

It’s official for later tonight: Jey Uso defends the World Heavyweight Title against Seth Rollins.

Penta vs. JD McDonagh (w/Finn Balor & Carlito)

There were some quick nearfalls early on, and JD hit a standing moonsault for two. Penta unloaded on JD with chops and a kick to the hamstring. JD ran over Penta with a running elbow smash. JD went for a kick on the apron, but Penta caught the foot and Penta kicked JD in the head. Penta was distracted by Balor at ringside, so JD hit a Death Valley Driver onto the apron. Ouch. They went to a break there for some fans as the action continued. JD was in control with a floatover suplex for two. Penta ran the ropes leading to a running hurricanrana. JD hit a standing Spanish Fly for two. Carlito got in a cheapshot to help JD as he continued to control the action.

JD went for a sliding dropkick against the turnbuckle, but Penta moved and JD bumped into the ring post. Penta came back with a swinging dropkick to the face. Penta hit a kick to the chest and a Slingblade for two. Penta hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for two. Balor distracted the referee, so Carlito grabbed Penta’s mask and Penta kicked Carlito to knock him down. Penta sent JD out of the ring. Penta jumped off the top with a cross body block onto JD and Carlito on the floor. Balot tripped up Penta on the apron while the referee wasn’t looking. The referee saw Balor send Penta into the ring, so referee Eddie Orengo ejected Balor & Carlito from ringside. Penta went up top, but Chad Gable was there to grab his foot. Penta knocked Gable down and Penta hit a somersault over the top onto Gable on the floor. JD hit a jawbreaker on Penta. JD jumped off the top with a moonsault attempt and Penta avoided it. Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer for the pinfall win after 11 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Penta

Analysis: ***1/4 Penta normally wins with a Penta Driver instead of a Mexican Destroyer, but I don’t mind seeing Penta win with that move once in a while. It’s a devastating move, so it works as a finisher. JD got plenty of offense and looked impressive in the match while Penta had to overcome three guys outside the ring and still found a way to win.

Grayson Waller & Austin Theory were talking backstage with Raw GM Adam Pearce. Waller tried to back out of the singles match he had. Theory had no idea who the opponent was. Waller knew who it was, but he told Theory it was better as a surprise. Waller left while Theory was left to think about it.

Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) was interviewed by Cathy Kelley in the upper deck in the arena. This was during a break. Kross said it sounded like they had some fellow bad guys in the arena. Kross said that Sami Zayn had a guilty conscience from his days with the OG Bloodline. Kross asked if Zayn made the right decision last week turning down Seth Rollins. There was a mixed reaction. Kross said he’s no saint, but some people refer to him as a killer. Kross said that he’s the devil you know versus the devils you don’t know.

Analysis: Good stuff from Kross. He’s starting to get more reactions. I want to see him get more TV time.

Austin Theory made his entrance, and he was joined by Grayson Waller.

Sheamus vs. Austin Theory (w/Grayson Waller)

It was Sheamus’ return since the Royal Rumble three months ago. There was a good pop for Sheamus, even though this theme song he has isn’t as good as his past theme songs. Theory was staring at Waller about making Theory take this match. Theory hit a dropkick. Sheamus came back with a forearm smash. Sheamus connected with two backbreakers on Theory. Sheamus stomped on Theory and Sheamus applied a Texas Cloverleaf submission, so Theory got the ropes to break the hold. Theory was on the floor, so Sheamus jumped off the top with a clothesline to knock Theory down. Theory took control with a neckbreaker on the floor and he grounded Sheamus as the show was in a break for some fans. Theory hit a spinning slam off the shoulders for two.

Theory kicked Sheamus a few times, but Sheamus came back with a powerslam. Theory hit a neckbreaker across the top rope, but Sheamus came back with a jumping knee to the head. Sheamus jumped off the top, Theory avoided it and Theory sent Sheamus into the ring post. Theory rolled through and hit a Blockbuster for a two count. Theory went up top, Sheamus went after him and Sheamus hit a White Noise slam off the middle turnbuckle. The fans chanted, “This is awesome!” for the match. Theory was asking Waller, “Why would you do this?” and Waller backed away. Sheamus beat up Theory with the forearm smashes, and he did 14 of them as the fans chanted along. Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick for the pinfall win after about 10 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Sheamus

Analysis: *** A dominant win by the veteran Sheamus to show that he’s back in action after a few months off. Theory put up a fight, but this was about putting Sheamus over. I think the Theory/Waller split might be coming soon and then we’ll see what they can do on their own.

A new match has been added to Backlash: Dominik Mysterio defends the Intercontinental Title against Penta.

The Judgment Day was shown in their clubhouse. JD McDonagh complained what happened in his match. Dom and Raquel Rodriguez missed Liv Morgan. AJ Styles walked in saying it doesn’t matter who wins at Backlash, Styles is going to come after the Intercontinental Title. Dominik said that Balor has a history with AJ, so maybe Balor should take care of AJ. Balor wasn’t happy about it, but then he said yeah he’ll do it.

Chad Gable complained about what happened at ringside. The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods approached Gable while holding the World Tag Team Titles. Kofi and Woods sucked up to Gable about American Made getting more opportunities. Gable liked that. Becky Lynch walked up between them, Woods supported Lynch for her actions against Lyra Valkyria. Lynch thanked them and kept walking. They went to a break for some fans.

There was a replay of Becky Lynch’s heel turn against Lyra Valkyria and Lyra fighting back against Lynch last week. Lynch made her entrance after that.

Let’s Hear from Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch said that she took out the garbage, referring to Bayley. Lynch said that you should say thank you for taking out the garbage. Lynch claimed she took out the recycling because that’s what Lyra Valkyria is. Lynch said that Lyra wouldn’t have a career or even a fiancé if it wasn’t for Lynch.

Lyra Valkyria interrupted to trash Lynch for calling her cycling. Lyra said that Lynch has been recycling the same moves and doing the same act for years. Lyra reminded Lynch that Lynch didn’t make her. Lyra said that while Lynch went on holiday, everybody got better. Lyra said she made her own history by winning the Women’s IC Title. Lyra spoke about how she’s defended the title more days than Lynch has shown up to work this year. Lyra said that she was grateful for Lynch shattering glass ceilings, but Lynch had no intention of taking anybody else to the top.

Lynch said that she didn’t help anybody because she doesn’t like anybody. Lynch said it’s her job to beat anybody. Lynch said that she’s the greatest to ever do it and Sports Illustrated even said it. Lynch said that Lyra will only ever be the moment after the moment. Lyra talked about some of Lynch’s accomplishments, but then Lyra reminded Lynch that Lyra was the first Women’s IC Champion. Lyra told Lynch that she hoped that Lynch likes second place. Lynch tried a cheap shot, but Lyra was ready and Lyra knocked her down. Lyra nailed Lynch with forearm smashes. Lyra hit Lynch with shoulder tackles into the turnbuckle. Lyra threw Lynch into the barricade a few times. Officials showed up to try to break it up. Lyra broke free, so they fought in the ring again. Lynch wanted a Manhandle Slam, but Lyra countered it and Lyra hit Nightwing on Lynch. Lyra posed with her title over a fallen Lynch.

Analysis: It was a pretty good segment to show that Lyra Valkyria won’t back down against Becky Lynch. The brawling was entertaining for the most part. I think Lynch beating Lyra is a possibility at Backlash on Saturday.

Roxanne Perez made her entrance for singles action. Perez did a heel promo during the break.

Iyo Sky vs. Roxanne Perez

This was not for Sky’s Women’s World Title. Sky hit a running dropkick to knock Perez out of the ring. Perez was back in the ring with a dropkick to the knee. Perez tripped up Sky by the apron. Perez hit a cross body block onto Sky on the floor. After Sky went into the ring, Sky hit her own suicide dive onto Perez on the floor. Perez stopped Sky by hitting Sky while Sky was by the ropes. Perez stomped on the leg as the show went on a break for some fans. I’ll take a break, too, as Perez controlled the action during the break.

Perez went up top, Sky went after her there and Sky hit an armdrag off the top rope. Sky hit a flapjack followed by a kick to the head for two. Sky went up top and hit a missile dropkick. Sky was selling a right leg injury, so she couldn’t run. Perez tried a move, Sky countered and Sky hit a double foot stomp to the body for two. Sky hit a German Suplex, but Perez countered another suplex attempt with a belly-to-back suplex. Sky hit a double underhook backbreaker. Sky went up top slowly, Sky jumped off the top with the moonsault, but Perez countered Sky to send Sky face first into the mat. Perez did a handspring knee drop on Sky for two. Perez did a dragon screw leg whip to the injured right leg. Perez and Sky trade pin attempts. There were six more pin attempts as Sky flipped Perez over and Sky held Perez down for the pinfall win after 11 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Iyo Sky

Analysis: ***1/2 Great match by two of the best women in WWE. I liked the psychology involved since Sky was selling the right leg injury throughout the match. Sky is so good technically, while Perez can do it all as well. They matched up well together.

After the match, Iyo Sky celebrated the win. Perez wanted a handshake. Sky shook her hand. No cheap attack from Perez, who rolled out of the ring. That kindness didn’t last long because Giulia was in the ring and knocked down Sky with a forearm to the back. Giulia held Sky while Perez and Giulia kicked Sky to knock the champion down. It was mentioned by Cole that Rhea Ripley was in Australia, so nobody else wanted to make a save. Perez superkicked Sky and Giulia stomped on Sky’s back to send her into the mat.

Analysis: Poor Sky got beat up by two women for over a minute with not a single person trying to help her. I assume they are setting up Ripley & Sky against Perez & Giulia, but Ripley is in Australia and not at Raw this week.

It’s 330-pound Otis against 270-pound Rusev up next. That’s 600 pounds of meat in one match.

The War Raiders were shown talking to Raw GM Adam Pearce in Pearce’s office. This was during a break for some fans. Chad Gable showed up to complain about The Creed Brothers not getting a title shot. The New Day walked in as the World Tag Team Champions. Kofi and Woods said that they wanted to face deserving teams. War Raiders wanted to face The Creed Brothers and then there won’t be any excuses. Gable walked away, so Pearce said “Hey Americano” to Gable and “Happy Cinco De Mayo.” Gable left.

Alpha Academy’s Otis entrance was shown with Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri joining him.

They showed University of Nebraska football’s head coach Matt Rhule and some players at ringside.

Rusev made his entrance for his first WWE match in five years. It’s a different song than what he used to have, but it is a superstar entrance. I liked the entrance.

Otis (w/Akira Tozawa & Maxxine Dupri) vs. Rusev

Rusev was aggressive and stomped on Otis. The big man Otis hit some shoulder tackles, but Rusev didn’t go down. Rusev bounced off the ropes, leading to a spinning heel kick to knock Otis down. That was impressive. They went to a break for some fans as the action continued. Rusev attacked Otis with kicks and some choking across the middle rope. Rusev hit a running back splash against the turnbuckle and then a punch to the jaw. Rusev grabbed a chinlock. Otis broke free and hit some headbutts. Rusev hit a standing dropkick to knock Otis out of the ring. Good bump by Otis there.

Otis sent Rusev over the commentary table. Otis sent Rusev into the steel steps. Otis punched the ring post because Rusev moved, and Rusev kicked the ring post because Otis moved. Back in the ring, Otis hit a running splash. Rusev hit a jumping kick to the jaw. Rusev applied the Accolade submission. Otis tapped out after about six minutes.

Winner by submission: Rusev

Analysis: **1/2 This could have been a three-minute squash for Rusev, but they got more time than that. There was a lot of offense for Rusev, then Otis made a comeback and Rusev was able to put him away.

After the match, Akira Tozawa got in Rusev’s face and Rusev decided to walk away. After Rusev left the ring, he went back into the ring and gave Tozawa a Powerbomb. Rusev threw Otis into the ring post two times. Good bump by Otis to the floor. Rusev gave Otis another superkick. Rusev applied the Accolade on Otis. Raw GM Adam Pearce and officials went into the ring to stop it. Natalya was at ringside to support her friend Maxxine Dupri.

Analysis: I thought that Rusev might be back in a face role, but clearly, he’s back in heel mode, which is probably best for him because that’s something Rusev has done well in the past. The officials were there to stop Rusev, but they didn’t care to help Iyo Sky in the match before this. Just saying.

They were in a break for some fans as Otis was getting checked on by WWE Officials and indy wrestlers who are supposed to be like trainers out there. Otis tried to walk on his own, but he was selling the pain and needed help to the back.

Face to Face: Gunther and Pat McAfee

The Raw GM Adam Pearce stood between Gunther and Pat McAfee. Pearce told them to keep it professional. The fans loved Pat and hated Gunther of course. Gunther said he won’t do anything (physically) tonight. The fans chanted, “You tapped out,” at Gunther, who said he’s a professional.

Pat said that man over there is a walking, talking GOAT over there referring to Michael Cole, so the fans chanted Cole’s name. That was nice. Pat said for 28 years every single week of his life except for three times, Cole has dedicated himself to traveling the world for this company for 28 years straight. Pat said that Cole earned a right to say what he said. Pat said when he thinks about Nebraska he thinks about the Cornhuskers while pointing out the team in the front row, and the fans popped. Pat said that he thinks about Omaha’s steaks while saying nobody beats their meat. Pat continued to suck up to Omaha about hosting the college baseball World Series. Pat said they are a symbol of working hard and making their wrestling dreams come true. Pat said that they both grew up with the same dream, wanting to be in this business, idolizing the superstars of yesterday and spending hours of their lives watching pro wrestling, thinking about this is what they wanted to do. Pat said that Gunther has been a wrestler for 20 years, he’s held a title for 80% of the time he’s been here. Pat said that every time he comes to a WWE show, he is reminded of how he is like an 11-year-old dreaming about this. Pat called Gunther an asshole after they showed some kids. Pat said that Gunther has lost to Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, so Pat is going to prove that this version of Gunther is soft.

Gunther asked Pat if he enjoyed his daughter’s birthday last week. Gunther said that she was two years old, and he bets that it was a special day for Pat. Gunther said that Saturday is a special day and Pat got Gunther in the mood for it. Gunther said he’ll be more focused than ever before. Gunther said he wouldn’t underestimate him because Gunther would give Pat his full attention. Gunther said he was going to beat him up, maul him, and drive his head into the mat. Gunther told Pat he’d choke him out until he dropped like a wet towel. Gunther said tonight, by his grace, Pat is untouchable. Gunther said that this Saturday, only the grace of God can lift Gunther’s arms off Pat’s throat. Gunther shoved Pat and left.

Analysis: It was an awesome promo from McAfee, as usual. The dude can talk, and it’s easy to support him because of how honest he is about his love of pro wrestling. I thought Gunther did an excellent job of firing back with a strong promo, reminding us that he can be a dominant badass. It felt like McAfee’s words motivated Gunther to be serious going into his match.

An appearance by John Cena was advertised for SmackDown this Friday.

A video aired of the Breaking Point 2009 match, in which John Cena beat Randy Orton to win the WWE Title in an “I Quit” Match.

Jey Uso was shown walking backstage with his World Heavyweight Title. Finn Balor was in the background talking to Roxanne Perez.

Seth Rollins made his entrance for the main event, and Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman joined him. The commercial break featured Seth’s song playing for another three minutes.

Next week on Raw:

* AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor

* The War Raiders vs. American Made

* Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez & Giulia

Jey Uso made his entrance as the World Heavyweight Champion. The ring announcer did the championship introductions.

World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso vs. Seth Rollins (w/Paul Heyman & Bron Breakker)

Rollins was the first person to win the World Heavyweight Title two years ago. Rollins got a rollup for a two count. When Jey went for a kick, Rollins avoided it, and Rollins posted on the turnbuckle. Rollins approached Jey, who nailed Rollins with a punch. Rollins left the ring to do some stalling. Rollins was back in the ring for some stomping on Jey against the turnbuckle. Jey came back with an uppercut punch and a spinning kick. Jey clotheslined Rollins out of the ring. Jey hit a suicide dive onto Rollins, who bumped over the commentary table. One of Jey’s shoes came off after that dive. Jey was able to get his shoe back on and went back into the ring. Rollins was bleeding from the top of his head. Jey worked over Rollins with punches. Rollins got a hold of Cole and sent him face first into the turnbuckle. Rollins took control with stomps.

Sami Zayn made his entrance, so Zayn punched Bron a few times and threw Bron into the ring post to take care of him. Rollins hit a superkick and Spear. Jey went up top with an Uso Splash for just a two count. That was an awesome nearfall. Zayn was trying to hype up the crowd, so Bron Breakker nailed Zayn with a Spear on the floor. Jey left the ring to check on Zayn. Heyman was on the apron, so Bron hit a Spear on Jey on the floor. Back in the ring, Rollins hit The Stomp on Jey and wanted a cover, but here comes CM Punk. Punk got a huge pop! Punk showed up with a steel chair that he used to throw at Bron, and Punk knocked Bron down. Punk brought the chair into the ring and hit Rollins a few times with it. The bell never officially rang, but let’s call it a DQ ending after about 18 minutes.

Winner by disqualification: Seth Rollins (Jey Uso remains WWE World Champion)

Analysis: ***1/2 I thought they were on their way to a great, four-star level championship match and then it abruptly ended. Rollins looked like he had it won a few times, while Jey was very close to winning when he hit that Uso Splash off the top for a two count. It made sense for Sami Zayn to show up and for CM Punk to show up as well due to the attack that Seth’s group did on Punk.

CM Punk beat up Rollins with the chair with a few chair shots to the body. Rollins ran away. Bron tried an attack, but Punk fended him off with the chair as well. CM Punk stood tall in the ring with a steel chair, along with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, while Rollins, Breakker, and Heyman were in the aisle.

Punk held up the steel chair as his music played to end the show.

Analysis: There are a lot of matches that they can set up here, like tags or Punk facing either Rollins or Breakker. Zayn against either of the heels works fine, too. I think we’ll also see Rollins against Jey again in the future.

This week’s Raw had a runtime of 2 hours, 36 minutes.

After the show, Jey Uso was greeting the fans at ringside when Logan Paul showed up and punched Jey in the face to knock him down. Paul left like a coward while Jey was down selling the attack.

Final Thoughts on WWE Raw

I enjoyed the show and thought they did a nice job of building up the Backlash matches, as well as continuing other major stories on Raw. It was a strong night for promos with Paul Heyman and Pat McAfee standing out, but I also liked what Gunther, Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria said. Jey Uso did well in terms of intensity during his promo.

The match quality was strong most of the night. I really liked the Rollins/Jey match before the DQ happened. I wasn’t expecting a clean finish there, so it was a finish I was expecting. It obviously builds to the future with CM Punk coming back along with Sami Zayn to fight against Rollins and Bron Breakker. That match between Iyo Sky and Roxanne Perez was also very well done. I enjoyed it. Rusev was impressive in his first WWE match in five years too.

I thought it was a great crowd in Omaha and that helped the show a lot as well.
