The John Report: WWE Raw Deal 02/24/25 Review

WWE Raw Deal February 24

It’s WWE Raw featuring Bianca Belair & Naomi facing Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, plus CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, and more.

Last week’s Raw saw Seth Rollins beat Finn Balor in the main event to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Rollins joins CM Punk, John Cena, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre in the match. There are four matches set for the Elimination Chamber PLE along with The Rock wanting Cody Rhodes to answer a question about if Cody wants to be The Rock’s champion by giving him his soul. It was an awkward promo on SmackDown that I interpreted as Rock wanting Cody to become a heel like The Final Boss is, so we’ll see if Cody wants to go the dark side, so to speak.

The WWE Elimination Chamber PLE is this Saturday night in Toronto at the Rogers Centre. I’ll be there with some family members (a two-hour drive from home) and there will be about 30,000 other fans in the building as well. I’m looking forward to it.

This is the Raw Deal for episode #1657 of Monday Night Raw. It’s taking place at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Follow me on Twitter/X @johnreport, friend me on Facebook, or chat with me on the Bluesky App as well. Let’s get to it.

There was some backstage walking shown of Bianca Belair & Naomi, Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, Gunther walking by Alpha Academy doing dance moves, Dakota Kai with Iyo Sky and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria. The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was also shown walking around earlier in the day.

It was Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary as usual for Raw.

Let’s Hear from Logan Paul and CM Punk

Logan Paul was up first for a promo and the fans were booing him as usual. Paul mentioned he’s from Ohio, so the fans booed again. Paul trashed Cincinnati saying when his plane was about to land, he wanted to go home and then he decided to perform in front of these peasants because he’s just that humble. Paul took a local sports team shot saying you waste talent while saying look at what you’ve done to Joe Burrow. Paul mentioned the last time he was in action on Raw, he beat Rey Mysterio and qualified for Elimination Chamber. Paul said he’d defeat three doorknobs and John Cena to go onto WrestleMania…but here’s CM Punk. Paul has to face four other guys and John Cena, not three.

CM Punk took a long time to get down to the ring while the fans were cheering and chanting Punk’s name. Paul was agitated by it. Paul asked the fans what their problem with him was and he wondered what Punk’s problem is with him. Paul told Punk he was jealous of him. Paul said he succeeded outside of this ring and Punk fails all the time, so maybe that’s why Punk doesn’t like him.

Punk told Paul he didn’t have a problem with him. Punk said that this is about the Elimination Chamber. Punk told Paul he was a dime a dozen that is a loudmouth kid who does things for the reaction and the shock of it. Punk said that Paul had no character, no substance and the fans deserve better. Paul told Punk when he came back it was one of the greatest WWE returns in history. Paul said that Punk cracked under pressure, tore his triceps and couldn’t handle the spotlight. Paul said that Punk is familiar with fans like Stone Cold, John Cena and CM Punk. Paul told Punk since Paul is a full-timer, it’s only a matter of time until they are chanting his name, Logan Paul. There were “CM Punk” chants again. Punk told Paul that the names do change while Punk said that they are legends and history makers. Punk said that he makes history while Paul has never made history and he’s barely a flash in the pan. Punk told Paul he won’t be here long enough for them to figure out who you are. Punk said he’ll eliminate Paul as a receipt for Royal Rumble. Punk said he’ll go on to WrestleMania, face Cody Rhodes and leave Las Vegas with the WWE Title. Punk said nobody will be thinking about Paul because that sign is for Punk. Punk said that he doesn’t care if Cody has to sell his soul because Punk is Satan himself and Punk said in this business, Paul is nobody. Punk was staring Paul in the face. Paul slapped Punk in the face and Paul quickly bailed from the ring.

Punk told Paul to run while his legs still worked. Punk said on Saturday, you’ll be locked in a cage with CM Punk. Punk said that you’ll see why they chant CM Punk’s name. That ended it.

Analysis: It was a solid promo exchange from CM Punk and Logan Paul. I think we might see them in a singles match later this year at some point, but this was about the build to Elimination Chamber. Paul is a cocky heel who the fans hate, Punk is adored as a living legend and they are both good in the roles they are in. I thought Seth Rollins would join them, but that didn’t happen and instead, it focused on Punk/Paul.

Ludwig Kaiser made his entrance for a triple threat match. They went to a break for some fans. Kaiser said he’s done asking for things because he’s going to take what he wants. Kaiser talked about how he attacked Penta last week and without Pete Dunne, it would have worked out. Kaiser claimed 2025 is going to be his year.

Penta vs. Pete Dunne vs. Ludwig Kaiser

There are no countouts and no disqualifications in a triple threat match. The first pinfall or submission wins.

Dunne hit an enziguri kick to knock Kaiser out of the ring. Penta hit a running hurricanrana on Dunne. Kaiser back in the ring with a rollup on Penta for two. Penta hit a Backstabber on Kaiser. Dunne hit a running knee from the apron onto Kaiser on the floor. Penta dove onto Dunne on the floor. Kaiser sent Penta into the barricade. Kaiser hit a dropkick into Dunne’s arm against the steel steps. Penta clotheslined Kaiser over the top to the floor to the floor. Penta dove off the top onto Kaiser and Dunne on the floor. There was a break for some fans as the action continued. Penta knocked Dunne out of the ring and Kaiser hit a running kick on Penta. Dunne sent Kaiser out of the ring and Dunne stomped on Penta’s left hand. Dunne dropped Kaiser with a DDT. Kaiser hit a jumping kick to Dunne on the top turnbuckle. They were battling by the turnbuckle.

The match continued with a Tower of Doom spot out of the corner with Penta doing the Powerbomb and Kaiser doing the superplex. Penta was in control a Slingblade and a facebuster. Penta kicked Kaiser against the turnbuckle and Penta kicked Dunne. Penta gave Dunne a hurricanrana off the top to sent Dunne into Kaiser and both guys were knocked out of the ring. Penta hit a somersault dive over the top on Dunne. Penta hit a somersault over the top on Kaiser on the other side. The fans chanted “this is awesome” as Penta hit a spinning slam off the shoulders for two on Kaiser because Dunne made the save. Dunne got some kicks on Penta, but Penta came back with a kick of his own. Kaiser got a hold of Penta’s mask, Dunne knocked Kaiser down from the apron and Dunne hit a Bitter End on Penta for two because Kaiser broke up the pin. Kaiser kicked Dunne in the left arm. Dunne fought back with a finger snap on Kaiser’s left hand. Penta hit a Mexican Destroyer on Dunne after jumping off Kaiser’s back. Penta kicked Kaiser out of the ring. Penta hit the Sacrifice pull on the left arm. Kaiser sent Penta out of the ring and Kaiser hit a spinning DDT on Dunne for the pinfall win after 10 minutes. Penta tried to make the save, but he was a bit too late.

Winner by pinfall: Ludwig Kaiser

Analysis: ***1/4 It’s the classic “steal the win” finish where Kaiser sent Penta out of the ring and Kaiser hit his DDT on Dunne for the win. That is Penta’s first loss in WWE, but he is yet to be pinned. That result is likely going to lead to Kaiser against Penta in a singles match soon to see if Kaiser can beat Penta in a singles match as well. I liked the match. There was a lot of action.

A video package aired about John Cena competing in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday. It is Cena’s last time in an Elimination Chamber match.

The Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley was interviewed by Jackie Redmond in the upper deck part of the arena. Ripley is back after being in Australia on her honeymoon for over a week. Ripley said she’s focused on her match against Iyo Sky next week while admitting that she hasn’t beaten Sky. Ripley said it’s been nearly five years since she faced Sky and in those five years, Ripley has become the most dominant woman in WWE. Ripley mentioned women she has beaten like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Liv Morgan and after next week, you can add Rhea Ripley’s name to that list. Iyo Sky showed up to interrupt saying she’ll beat Ripley again next week and go to WrestleMania as the Women’s World Champion. That was it.

Analysis: I think it will be a great match with Ripley and Sky. Ripley should win that. I’m glad they are having a match between Ripley doesn’t wrestle that often on Raw, so it’ll be a fun match to watch.

A clip was shown from the WWE LFG show with the Road Dogg making an appearance on next Sunday’s episode. I like the format of the show and it’s been fun to watch so far.

The New Day entered for tag team action. They showed a replay from two weeks ago when Kofi and Xavier attacked Rey Mysterio. That was done to set up this match.

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods did a promo in the ring that aired during the break for some fans. They trashed the chili that Cincinnati was famous for. Kofi said that they are tired of trying to explain themselves. Kofi said that what they did to Big E was the best move they could have made for their carers. Woods said that the LWO should have done to Rey Mysterio years ago.

After a commercial for the WWE 2K25 video game, The New Day was still talking in the ring. Kofi said that the fans should thank New Day for being there. The LWO did their entrance to start the match.

LWO – Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro vs. The New Day – Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods

Wilde was aggressive against Woods leading to a springboard missile dropkick. Cruz tagged in for a double back elbow and a splash by Wilde. Cruz hit a springboard moonsault for two. Cruz hit a jumping kick on Woods and a top rope hurricanrana. Kofi made the blind tag, so he lowered the rope and Cruz bumped over the top to the floor. The New Day guys made quick tags leading to repeated stomps. Cruz rolled up Woods for two. Woods hit Cruz with a forearm. Cruz kicked Kofi to knock him down. Wilde was back in with kicks. Wilde hit a jawbreaker on Woods. Wilde jumped over Woods’s back leading to a DDT on Kofi and Wilde hit a DDT on Woods as well. Cruz got the tag leading to both LWO guys going over the top onto New Day on the floor. Wilde went up top, Kofi eye gouged Cruz and sent Cruz into the turnbuckle to knock Wilde down. Woods got the tag, Kofi held Cruz on his knee and Woods jumped off the top with a double foot stomp for the pinfall win. It went about six minutes.

Winners by pinfall: The New Day – Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods

Analysis: **3/4 It was good while it lasted, but it wasn’t that long. The New Day winning wasn’t much of a surprise. I’d like to see the LWO guys get more of a chance in tag team matches.

After the match, The New Day stomped on the LWO. Dragon Lee of the LWO made the save, he cleared Kofi out of the ring and Lee hit a running dropkick on Woods. Kofi distracted Lee and Woods capitalized with a kick to the head. New Day caught Lee leading to a double team Powerbomb. New Day stood tall.

Analysis: I like seeing The New Day booked well and getting wins. This is building to Rey Mysterio coming back to get some revenge.

The Judgment Day was shown hanging out backstage. Finn Balor blamed Dominik Mysterio for the bad stuff that happened last week. Dominik and Fin reminded eachother that they lost. Balor said that he was going to fix things. Dominik wanted a new member of the group, but Fin said no. Li Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez walked in. Liv said that they were going to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Balor mentioned the Jade Cargill situation and Liv said that they weren’t involved. Balor and the guys left.

A video aired about WWE opening up some WWE Topps cards. Thrilling.

The World Heavyweight Champion Gunther was shown walking backstage.

AJ Styles was interviewed by Cathy Kelley backstage. This was during the break for some fans. Styles said that a lot of wrestlers want to make a name for themselves at his expense. Logan Paul interrupted to trash Styles saying he was embarrassed by Paul when Paul bragged about eliminating Styles in the Royal Rumble. Styles said that’s the name of the game. Styles suggested that he doesn’t think Paul can do it. Paul backed away while citing that he was too busy and Paul left.

Analysis: That’s a future match between Styles and Paul.

The World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER did a promo about his WrestleMania match with Jey Uso. Gunther was dressed for a match. Akira Tozawa and Alpha Academy interrupted. Gunther was dressed for a match so he told Tozawa to fight him.

Akira Tozawa (w/Otis & Maxxine Dupri) vs. Gunther

Tozawa was aggressive with strikes, but Gunther nailed him with a hard chop. Tozawa hit a spinning kick. Gunther hit a running dropkick. Tozawa countered a move and hit a sunset flip for two. Tozawa went up top, he jumped off, Gunther caught him and Gunther applied a Boston Crab submission. Tozawa got to the bottom rope to break the hold. Gunther chopped Tozawa and Gunther hit a Powerbomb for two because Gunther pulled Tozawa up. Gunther applied a Sleeper hold while lifting Tozawa off the mat and Tozawa was out. It went about 3 minutes.

Winner by submission: Gunther

Analysis: *3/4 It was an easy win for Gunther as expected. Tozawa got some offense, but it was all about giving Gunther the win.

After the match, Gunther tried another Sleeper on Tozawa, but Otis made the save. Gunther shoved Otis in the head two times. Otis did his shaking routine so the fans popped. Otis checked on Tozawa. Gunther went back in and gave Otis a Sleeper. Jey Uso made the save, the fans got loud for him and Jey got into the ring, so Gunther left.

Analysis: A simple way to get Jey on the show making a save for some innocent babyfaces. Recent weeks had more of Gunther-Jey on the show and this week barely had Jey out there.

A clip aired of Michael Cole on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. It was a clip of Cole talking about his friendship with Pat McAfee.

Pat showed a replay of Cole on Impaulsive and Cole’s shirt wasn’t properly buttoned, so it looked weird.

The Lyra Valkyria-Dakota Kai match was next.

A video aired about the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. This was during a break for some fans.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria vs. Dakota Kai

Lyra caught a charging Kai and slammed her down. Kai went to the floor. Lyra went for a kick, but Kai blocked it. They battled on the apron where Kai did a double leg takedown to knock Lyra down. Kai hit a cannonball off the apron to knock Lyra down on the floor. Kai tripped on a camera cable. They went to a break for some fans as the match continued. Kai hit an arm drag along with a dropkick. Lyra hit a Northern Lights Suplex on Kai for a two count. Lyra applied a surfboard stretch briefly. Kai hit a release German Suplex across the ring. Kai went up top, Lyra tripped her up they fought on the turnbuckle.

The match continued as Kai used her feet to kick Kai while Lyra was in an upside-down position. Lyra hit a superplex and Lyra was holding her neck to sell it. The fans chanted “holy shit” for a superplex, which isn’t that common. Kai avoided a kick and Kai hit a kick to the head. Lyra and Kai took turns getting two counts. Kai went for a backslide on Lyra and they exchanged pin attempts again. Lyra picked up Kai leading to a Powerbomb for a two count. Lyra jumped off the middle turnbuckle with nothing, Kai hit a kick and Kai hit a running kick. Kai hit a jumping Kairopractor (double knees to the back) for two. Lyra sent Kai into the turnbuckle. Lyra went up top, Kai with a kick, Lyra got Kai on her shoulders and Lyra hit the Nightwing slam for the pinfall win after about 9 minutes.

Winner by pinfall: Lyra Valkyria

Analysis: *** It was a good technical wrestling match with some excellent counter wrestling throughout the match. They aren’t women with big personalities, and it was two babyfaces out there, but they got the crowd to react to them because of how entertaining of a match it was. Lyra continues her championship reign.

After the match, Dakota Kai hugged Lyra Valkyria as a sign of respect. After Kai left the ring, Ivy Nile attacked Kai and sent her into the barricade. Nile went into the ring and hit a German Suplex on Lyra. Nile hit a spinning sidewalk slam on Lyra. Nile posted with the Women’s IC Title over Lyra. The fans booed.

Analysis: Dakota Kai beat Ivy Nile to get the title shot tonight, but there’s Nile with the cheap attack. That should lead to Nile getting a title shot against Lyra soon.

A video package aired about the Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens story that will lead to an Unsanctioned Match at Elimination Chamber on Saturday in Toronto.

Sami Zayn Interview

Sami Zayn was interviewed by Jackie Redmond earlier in the day. Redmond mentioned that Owens made it personal by showing Zayn with his family on Smackdown last week. Zayn said he went over Kevin’s house and no one was home, but his mother was in town visiting. Zayn said it was great to see Kevin’s mom in good health and great spirits. Zayn said he was ashamed of himself for going to KO’s house while saying he wasn’t there for good intentions. Zayn said he doesn’t recognize himself or Owens. Zayn said it’s different this time because he doesn’t know what either of them is capable of. Zayn said that they aren’t in the headspace that either of them are used to. Zayn admitted that his neck isn’t where he wants it to be so he understands why it’s unsanctioned. Zayn said that this is going to be a war, this is going to be insane and it’s going to be worse than everything they’ve done. Zayn said it’s going to be a bad time for both of them and it will be a very bad time for Owens. Zayn told Owens he hopes he is ready.

Analysis: I think it’s going to be an incredible match. I’m going with an Owens win because I think he’ll be against Randy Orton at WrestleMania, so giving Owens the win makes sense. Maybe Orton will show up to cost Owens. That’s an option too. I’m excited about the match.

The Bron Breakker-Dominik Mysterio match was next, so there was some backstage walking that was shown.

Bayley was interviewed by Cathy Kelley for an interview that was during a break for some fans. Before Bayley could say much, Roxanne Perez interrupted. Perez bragged about her success while saying nobody is on her level. Bayley said that she’s won Elimination Chamber matches before, she’s won the Royal Rumble and won at WrestleMania. Bayley said she can see Perez at WrestleMania one day, but it just ain’t this year. Perez left to end it.

Bron Breakker vs. Dominik Mysterio (w/Finn Balor & Carlito)

This was not for Bron’s Intercontinental Title. Bron gave Dominik a Spear last week after AJ Styles moved out of the way, so here’s a match.

Bron sent Dominik out of the ring quickly. They went back into the ring where Bron ran the ropes quickly with a running clothesline. Back in the ring, Balor distracted the referee, so Carlito pulled Bron out of the ring and Dominik hit a suicide dive on Bron into the commentary table. Dominik hit a senton splash onto Bron. After a distraction, Dominik dropkicked Bron into the ropes and Dominik hit a 619 kick. Bron went after Dom on the turnbuckle. Dominik pushed Bron down, so Bron jumped up to the top leading to a Frankensteiner. Balor and Carlito pulled Bron out of the ring, which led to a DQ after about three minutes.

Winner by disqualification: Bron Breakker

Analysis: *3/4 A short match with Bron dominating most of it. This was booked to set up what happened after the match.

After the match, The Judgment Day guys beat up Bron with a triple team attack. Bron broke free to send Carlito over the top to the floor. Bron hit a Spear on Carlito. Balor tried a steel chair attack, but Bron stared at Balor, so Balor left the ring.

Analysis: It looks like Bron is in babyface mode now and might be against Balor at WrestleMania. AJ Styles is another option for Bron, so maybe it will be a triple threat match between them. That would be cool with me.

A video package aired showing The Rock’s promo segment with Cody Rhodes from last Friday on SmackDown. The Rock wants Cody’s soul and for Cody to be Rock’s champion, which is a way of Rock saying that he wants Cody to be a heel.

The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was shown walking backstage, so he’s up next.

There was about to be an interview from Jackie Redmond in the upper deck part of the arena, but The New Day showed up to interrupt. Kofi & Xavier insulted the fans as usual. They also trashed Rey Mysterio. The New Day said that they were going on vacation to Costa Rica next week.

Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers were interviewed by Cathy Kelley backstage. Ivy said that The Creeds are going after the World Tag Team Titles next week and Ivy was going to keep attacking Lyra Valkyria. The War Raiders attacked The Creed Brothers from behind and it was quickly broken up by officials.

Analysis: That felt rushed a bit. Anyway, it continued the story of American Made going after titles.

Let’s Hear from Cody Rhodes

The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made his entrance in dress clothes without a suit jacket. Cody got into the ring saying he is pretty certain saying he knows what they want to talk about. Cody said that he could read between the lines to understand the offer that The Rock had made him. Cody said it is Good Guy 101 for him to make sure he never lies to him and he’s not going to lie to him. Cody said that he is an incredibly blessed man that is not a team of one. Cody said that the decision he had to make at the Elimination Chamber did not just affect him alone. Cody mentioned his lovely wife Brandi Rhodes, his daughter Liberty, his sister and her family, little Brodie (Luke Harper’s son), he mentioned his nephews breaking into the business, his mother, and the memory of his father leading to “Dusty” chants. Cody said that his father was wrestling into his 60s and he didn’t want that memory to be his future. Cody said that The Rock is saying he could have everything he wants without having to fight, scratch…and here comes Seth Rollins.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins made his entrance in a ridiculous red leather jacket outfit. The fans sang Seth’s song as usual.

Rollins said that this was the first time they were in the ring together since last year at WrestleMania 40. Rollins said he would love to look Cody in the eye and tell him how proud of him he is. Rollins said that after he wins Elimination Chamber, he would love to face Cody at WrestleMania. Rollins asked Cody what the hell are you thinking? Rollins said that a year ago they went into the battle of their lives against The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and The Rock. Rollins said now Rock is back to ask Cody to be his champion and sell his soul to The Rock? Rollins said that Cody not slapping him in the face was a slap to Seth’s face. Rollins told Cody not to regret everything that Rollins did to help Cody last year. Rollins talked about the things that Rock can do for him like get him movie roles and do other things for him.

Cody said that Rock asked Cody for his soul because Seth’s soul may already be compromised. Cody reminded Rollins that he hit Cody in the back with a sledgehammer. Cody talked about Rollins taking a steel chair to the back of The Shield and running away guys like Cody with The Authority. Cody said that he also knows that with one leg and a scrambled back, Rollins helped Cody become WWE Champion. Cody said that Rollins was the main event and MVP of WrestleMania 40. The fans cheered.

Rollins said he was not there to judge Cody. Rollins said maybe he was there to protect Cody to prevent Cody from making the mistakes that Rollins made years ago. Rollins said he has been filled with hate lately. Rollins said that it was pointed in the right direction at Roman Reigns and CM Punk, but Rollins didn’t want to hate Cody. Rollins said that he doesn’t want to face a soulless Cody. Rollins wants to face the Cody who came back here to beat Rollins, who beat Rollins with one arm and the Cody who Rollins helped win at WrestleMania 40 last year. Rollins said that he’s not coming for Cody’s soul, but he is coming for Cody’s title. Rollins left.

Analysis: It was a strong promo exchange to tease what could happen at WrestleMania if Seth Rollins wins the Elimination Chamber match. I thought Rollins made some great points as a guy who helped Cody Rhodes win last year. Cody also made sense talking about Seth’s controversial past featuring many heel moments that are memorable. I don’t think Rollins will win the Chamber match, but I think it was a smart move

There was a rundown of the Elimination Chamber PLE lineup:

* Men’s Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins

* WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus vs. Nia Jax & Candice LeRae

* Will Cody Rhodes Accept The Rock’s Offer?

* Unsanctioned Match: Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

* Women’s Elimination Chamber Match: Liv Morgan vs. Bianca Belair vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley vs. Naomi vs. Roxanne Perez

A video package aired about the Women’s Tag Team Title match with Bianca Belair & Naomi defending the gold against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez. The video also focused on the mystery attack on Jade Cargill from November. Belair & Naomi think it was Liv & Raquel, so that led to this match.

The team of Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez entered for the main event. Liv Morgan did a promo during the break for some fans. Liv talked about how they are going to become three-time Women’s Tag Team Champions and Liv is going to win Elimination Chamber as well. Liv said they will be the best Women’s Tag Team Champions ever sine they would have the most Women’s Tag Team Title reigns ever.

Akira Tozawa was backstage getting checked on by his friends in Alpha Academy and Natalya was there. Jey Uso was there checking on Tozawa and told him to be okay. After Jey left the room, Grayson Waller & Austin Theory trashed Jey. Waller said that fans chant “Yeet” because Jey is nothing more than a meme. Waller told Jey to take this serious. Waller said that everybody knows Jey isn’t on Gunther’s level and Jey will get embarrassed. Jey said that they are doubting him, the locker room is doubting him and the whole world is doubting him. Jey said at WrestleMania, he’ll beat Gunther and he’ll put that on everything…YEET. Theory did the “Yeet” too, so the fans laughed. Waller argued with Theory about doing that. Jey hit Waller with a superkick and Jey did a “Yeet” to Waller.

Analysis: That should lead to Jey against Waller and it may be next week.

Next week on Raw in Buffalo:

* Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY

* World Tag Team Championships: The War Raiders vs. The Creed Brothers

Women’s Tag Team Championships: Bianca Belair & Naomi vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Belair and Naomi were aggressive early on. Belair nailed Liv with a forearm. Raquel tripped up Belair. Raquel was legal for her team and sent Belair into the barricade. They went to a break for some fans as the action continued. Liv tagged in and stomped on Belair repeatedly. Raquel tagged in with repeated back elbows. Raquel gave Belair a body slam. Liv tagged in with a bulldog off the middle turnbuckle for a two count. Liv hit two vertical suplexes and Belair countered for a suplex of her own. Raquel was back in for her team, Belair jumped over Raquel and made the tag.

Naomi got the hot tag and she was in full control with a leap over the top leading to a facebuster into the mat. Naomi jumped off the top with a cross body block, Raquel caught her and Naomi broke free leading to a kick to the head. Naomi hit a Blockbuster off the middle turnbuckle. Belair jumped off the top and hit a 450 Splash for two. Belair’s knee looked like it hit Raquel in the head, but Raquel was okay. Raquel went for a kick, Belair moved and Raquel kicked Naomi off the apron. Belair went for KOD, Raquel raked the eyes to break free. Liv jumped off the middle turnbuckle with a Codebreaker while Raquel was holding Belair and it got a two count. Belair blocked Oblivion, Naomi got the tag and Dominik Mysterio showed up to distract. Raquel clotheslined Belair. Raquel hit a Texana Bomb on Naomi. Liv hit Oblivion on Nami for a two count because Belair made the save. Great nearfall there. Raquel hit Belair with a kick, but Belair bounced off the ropes leading to Belair hitting a Spear on Raquel. The fans chanted “this is awesome” for the great match. Naomi was back up with a jawbreaker on Liv. Belair went for a suplex, but Liv countered it with an inside cradle. Belair hit a forearm on Raquel to knock her off the apron. Liv got a rollup on Belair for two. Belair hit KOD on Liv for two because Raquel made the save. Naomi did a double knee attack to spike Raquel into the mat on the apron. Naomi tagged back in and there was a double KOD by the champs for two because Dominik put Liv’s foot on the bottom rope. That meant it was just a two count. The referee didn’t see Dominik get involved. Raquel grabbed Belair on the floor and Raquel slammed Blair onto the commentary table. Naomi dove onto Raquel on the floor. Liv hit a counter move to pin Naomi for just a two count. Naomi hit the Rear View attack. Dominik was on the apron again, Naomi kicked him and knocked him down. Raquel grabbed Naomi and sent her face first into the top of the ring post. The referee never saw it. Liv covered Naomi for the pinfall win after about 12 minutes.

Winners by pinfall AND NEW Women’s Tag Team Champions: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Analysis: ***3/4 Awesome match. I expected that title change. It felt like the right time. This was a great match full of a lot of twists and turns along with some chaos. The referee was distracted a lot, Dominik’s presence was huge and Belair/Naomi couldn’t overcome it, so now there are new champions. I think Belair winning Elimination Chamber is very possible, so getting the Women’s Tag Team Titles off of Belair makes sense. Great job by Naomi, Belair, Raquel & Liv. I was very entertained by that match.

After the match, they showed replays of the key spots of the match. Liv Morgan (with Dominik) and Raquel Rodriguez celebrated with their Women’s Tag Team Titles. There was pyro on the stage. The new champions continued to celebrate. That was the end of the show.

This week’s Raw runtime was 2 hours, 40 minutes. It was 11 minutes longer than last week.

Final Thoughts on WWE Raw

A good show overall. The main event was great so nice job by everybody involved with the false finishes and then the win by Liv/Raquel since Bianca/Naomi couldn’t combat all the cheating.

The promos throughout the show were good. I liked the Cody Rhodes/Seth Rollins exchange more than the CM Punk/Logan Paul exchange.
