TJRWrestling AEW All In Texas 2025 Preview
It’s AEW All In Texas featuring Jon Moxley facing Adam Page, Mercedes Mone challenging Toni Storm, the Okada-Omega rivalry rekindled, and more.
The first two All In PPV shows took place in London, England at the massive Wembley Stadium, and they were AEW’s biggest shows of all time. This time, AEW is in the home of the MLB’s Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field near Dallas. It’s an afternoon show with a 3 p.m. ET start time (that’s 2 p.m. locally), which is fine with me because if they go four hours then it’s done at a decent time for me. They likely would have put it at night, but WWE is running Saturday Night’s Main Event to counter AEW, so that’s the main reason why this is an afternoon show. Frankly, I think it’s a good idea to run an afternoon show because it’s better for fans in Europe, too. The crowd won’t be close to Wembley, but it’s still 20,000 people in a baseball stadium for what will be AEW’s biggest crowd of the year.
I think the AEW All In Texas card is strong, and it has the chance of being the best AEW PPV of all time. I’ve reviewed all the AEW PPVs and I don’t recall what I rated the highest of them all, but I know there are several in the 9 out of 10 range. This one certainly could get there. I also think running this show earlier in the day is a huge plus because sometimes I am exhausted writing about a show until midnight or after midnight, so when you do it during the day, that is going to help the overall product, in my opinion.
AEW All In Texas is available on PPV, which you can watch in a number of different ways. I plan on watching and writing about it live, most likely on Prime Video or YouTube. I haven’t decided that yet. Let’s get to it.

ZERO HOUR PRE-SHOW MATCH: “Big Boom!” A.J. and The Conglomeration – Hologram, Kyle O’Reilly, and Tomohiro Ishii (with Big Justice and The Rizzler) vs. Don Callis Family – Hechicero, Lance Archer, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta
I don’t watch the pre-show, but this was announced, so I’m including it. My interest level in this match is less than zero. I assume the Big Boom AJ guy will win thanks to some comedy spots involving the kids, Big Justice and The Rizzler, causing the heels to lose. They’ll have Ishii interact with the kids for comedy spots too. Riveting action, I’m sure.
Winners: “Big Boom!” A.J. and The Conglomeration – Hologram, Kyle O’Reilly, and Tomohiro Ishii

ZERO HOUR PRE-SHOW MATCH: FTR – Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood (with Stokely) vs. The Outrunners -Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd
I may watch this match since FTR are my favorite team in AEW and I think it’s ridiculous that they’re not on the main card. These teams had a great match on Collision last weekend, so I expect them to deliver again with the fans solidly behind The Outrunners guys doing their 1980s tag team gimmick. I’ll go with The Outrunners winning to give them a big win.
Winners: The Outrunners

AEW World Trios Championships: The Opps – Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs (c) vs. Death Riders – Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta, and Gabe Kidd
Gable Kidd is an NJPW wrestler who has recently appeared in AEW to support the Death Riders group. Since Pac is out with an injury, Gabe gets to compete at AEW’s biggest show of the year. He’s a very good performer, so I don’t mind it, but I feel bad for others in AEW who are there full-time and don’t have a match at the show. I like The Opps trio as a team, although I honestly don’t care about the Trios Tag Team Titles, and I’d rather just see AEW get rid of them. Joe is great, Shibata is fun to watch and Hobbs should be pushed as a singles guy, but AEW never seems to want to push him consistently. Anyway, I’ll go with The Opps getting the win.
Winners: The Opps

Women’s Casino Gauntlet match for a future AEW Women’s World Championship match
We know that Kris Statlander and Megan Bayne are the first two women in this match. The rules for Casino Gauntlet are that two people start, then others are randomly added, and you don’t know how many people will be in the match. The match ends when there’s a pinfall or submission. The reward is a future AEW Women’s World Title match, so that’s a nice prize for the winner.
I assume there will be some surprise entrants, possibly including people who were released by WWE and will make their AEW debut. Perhaps there will be returns from women who have been away for a long time, like Britt Baker. I’m not sure why she isn’t used, but AEW essentially stated in the last week that she was part of the company, so they might as well utilize her in a spot like this.
Trying to pick a winner in a match like this isn’t easy. My gut feeling is that the ROH Women’s Champion Athena will be in the match and she’s from Texas, so they might have her win to set up a match against Storm or a rematch against Mone, who Athena faced in the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament. Frankly, I think Athena needs to be taken off ROH and put on AEW full time, so this is a way to do that.
Winner: Athena

AEW Tag Team Championships: The Hurt Syndicate – Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Jetspeed – Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. The Patriarchy – Christian Cage & Nick Wayne
When you have strong champions and there’s a triple threat match, it usually is a way for a wrestling company to take the titles off the champions without having them get pinned. I think that’s what is going to happen here. The Lashley and Benjamin team has been fun to watch, they’ve dominated everybody they have faced and it seemed unlikely that another team would beat them in a regular match. However, now you have a triple threat, so I can certainly see one of the other teams winning.
I like the Jetspeed team a lot as a babyface duo that is fun to watch, but I’m going to go with Christian and Nick winning. They can push that they are the first “father and son” team to win. I’m also thinking about the AEW All Out PPV in Toronto in two months since I’ll probably be there. With that show in mind, that is the perfect spot for Christian to reunite with Adam Copeland since they are local heroes. Maybe they lose the titles at All Out, then Nick turns on his dad (rather than having Christian do it) and that’s where Cope makes the save. It may seem farfetched now, but they would have two months to plant the seeds for it. That’s a story to keep in mind, anyway.
Winners AND NEW AEW Tag Team Champions: The Patriarchy – Christian Cage & Nick Wayne

TNT Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher
Kyle Fletcher has been a breakout singles star over the last year with his outstanding feud with Will Ospreay and a lot of other good matches. The only thing that Kyle has been missing is a singles title, but that will change at All In Texas. I think that Cole beat Daniel Garcia for the TNT Title so that they could move the title onto Kyle, who would get the rub from beating a bigger name like Cole. They should have a very competitive match, but I don’t know if the crowd will be into it that much. The TNT Title has lost a lot of steam over the last couple of years, and other secondary titles are seen as bigger. I still think it would be big for Kyle to win it, and I think he will.
Winner AND NEW TNT Champion: Kyle Fletcher

Men’s Casino Gauntlet match for a future AEW World Championship match
Mark Briscoe and MJF will be the first and second entrants. They have also announced that Bandido, Brody King, Mistico, and Ricochet are going to be part of the match. It’s possible that it ends before all six guys are in there, but not likely since AEW is promoting them.
I expect some surprises in this match. Chris Jericho immediately comes to mind since he’s taken a few months off and is ready to come back. The same goes for Darby Allin, who hasn’t had a match in over six months since he finished his Mount Everest climb this past May. Adam Copeland, aka Cope, could also make his return here. I think three surprise entrants are probably enough, and that might be too many, but I see all three of those big names being a part of this show.
As for a winner, I would love to see MJF win because he’s one of my favorite wrestlers in AEW. However, I think his issues with Mark Briscoe are going to see them take eachother out and their feud will continue into other PPVs this year. I’m going to go with a surprise winner by picking Darby Allin. They could have brought Allin back in June, but they have waited, and I think it’s because they want him to be a surprise winner in this Casino Gauntlet match.
Winner: Darby Allin

The Young Bucks – Matthew & Nicholas Jackson vs. Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay
If Ospreay and Strickland lose, they cannot challenge for the AEW World Championship for one year. If The Young Bucks lose, they will be stripped of their Executive Vice President titles.
This has been built up for a few months since The Young Bucks played a part in Jon Moxley keeping the AEW World Title in his match against Swerve Strickland. At that time, I thought Ospreay would win the Men’s Owen Hart Cup and that “Hangman” Adam Page would team with Swerve here, but instead they went with Page winning the Owen Cup. Sometimes AEW has shows and matches without much of a story. However, I think they did a much better job with the All In Texas lineup in terms of having stories for the big matches.
I think the stipulation they have for this match is a good one because it can put an end to The Young Bucks being heel authority figures who change plans to their liking. If the Bucks win, however, it sets up the story that Will and Swerve have to deal with the fact that they don’t get a shot at the AEW World Title for one year. That means that one of them could win the Owen Hart Cup next year to get that World Title shot in a year’s time, which makes sense for Ospreay since All In will be in England again next year.
It could be the match of the night because of the names involved. Most Young Bucks ignore tag team rules, so this will be a spotfest with big nearfalls and probably some cheating by the Bucks as well. I would be fine with the Bucks winning, but I think Swerve & Will winning is the better story. It would take the Young Bucks EVP powers away as a story, but they are still EVPs behind the scenes. I expect this to go 25+ minutes.
Winners: Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay

Winner Takes All Unification Match for the Inaugural AEW Unified Championship – Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. International Champion Kenny Omega
I’m excited for this match, but I’m sure certain wrestling observers (*cough*) are giddy about it. Ever since Okada signed with AEW, we knew this match was coming. After Omega missed a year due to diverticulitis, we had to wait for it because AEW was going to save it for their biggest show of the year, which is All In. The video package that AEW aired to set this match up was outstanding. They had so many great matches in NJPW in the late 2010s before AEW launched. A lot of us have seen those matches, but it’s cool to know we’ll get an updated version of those matches at All In Texas.
Whoever wins the match is the new AEW Unified Champion while AEW boss Tony Khan has said that the Continental and International Titles aren’t necessarily going away. The whole thing is very confusing because I thought the Unified Title would eliminate those titles. It doesn’t bother me that much either way. I think there are too many men’s singles titles in AEW.
As for a winner, I’m not sure who it will be. My lean is to go with Omega since Okada has held the Continental Title for so long and I think he’s due for a big loss. Plus, they could move Okada into the AEW World Title in the coming months, so I’d have Omega win here. I expect this to go up to 30 minutes or more and it should be outstanding.
Winner AND NEW AEW Inaugural Champion: Kenny Omega

AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Mercedes Mone
I think it’s fair to call this the biggest women’s match in AEW history. Toni Storm has been the best AEW Women’s World Champion in the company’s history with four title reigns and she has dominated the title scene for the past two years. Mercedes Mone has been the TBS Champion for over a year, having not lost any singles matches, so she is as good as it gets. From a performance standpoint, I think both are outstanding with Storm as an entertaining babyface, while Mone is always at her best as a cocky heel. That goes back to her WWE days, too.
Instead of being a Title for Title match, only Storm’s AEW Women’s Title is on the line, so they could have Storm win, and Mone can still be a cocky champion, holding the TBS Title. Since this match was announced, I have leaned towards picking Mone to win because she’s likely the highest paid woman on the roster and they kept her away from the Women’s Title for over a year, so now that she’s there, I think Mone is going to leave with the AEW Women’s Title. I’m not calling it a lock or anything like that. It’s just a feeling I have.
As far as match quality goes, this certainly could be one of the best women’s matches in AEW history. I expect them to get 20+ minutes and have an outstanding match. Mone will do a lot of running knees while Storm will work in her comedy spots as well. I expect an engaged crowd that will boost the match and these two women are so talented. I think they’ll deliver a classic match with Mone getting the win.
Winner AND NEW AEW Women’s World Champion: Mercedes Mone

Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
The expected main event will see Jon Moxley put up the AEW World Title against the Men’s Owen Hart Cup winner “Hangman” Adam Page, who is a former AEW World Champion. Moxley has held the title since last October, and since winning it, he has kept it inside a briefcase. What that means is we haven’t seen the beautiful AEW World Title in nine months, so Page has made it a point to say that he’s going to display it to the world when he wins it.
Making it a Texas Death Match was the right call because it means anything goes, which also means that there is going to be a lot of interference. We know Moxley has friends in the Death Riders group, plus the Young Bucks and other heels. Hangman will likely have backup as well, which could include Swerve Strickland since they squashed their beef in a segment on Collision, or at least that’s what it seems like. This could also be a spot where they bring Sting back to beat up some bad guys, maybe Bryan Danielson appears as well since Moxley took the title from him last October and Darby Allin could also fit as an ally of Page too.
We have covered interviews in recent months where people have said that Hangman is AEW’s “main character” since he’s been there from day one and the fans love him. I’d argue that Will Ospreay could be the most popular guy in AEW, and if he won his first AEW World Title here, it would have been a big deal, but I don’t mind Hangman in this spot.
This will be a bloody battle that gets a lot of time and I think these two talented wrestlers are going to put on an outstanding match. All of the interference might hurt it in terms of match quality, but some fans like those sorts of things and it has certainly worked well in other promotions when multiple wrestlers appear to help a babyface win (the WrestleMania 40 main event comes to mind). Page may have to hit Moxley with the Buckshot Lariat three or four times to win because they’re going to make Moxley look unbeatable until Page finds a way to wear him down and get the win. If Page doesn’t win I’ll be surprised. It’s the right guy and the right time for a title change. The moment when Page frees the AEW World Title from Moxley’s briefcase and holds it above his head will generate a huge pop. It should be awesome to see.
Winner AND NEW AEW World Champion: “Hangman” Adam Page

BONUS TOPICS FOR AEW ALL IN TEXAS
The Match I’m Looking Forward To The Most
Jon Moxley vs. “Hangman” Adam Page just ahead of Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega. I could have picked a few matches.
The Match I Care About The Least
I won’t pick a pre-show match, but if I did, then the one with Big Boom AJ is easily my pick. I truly like most of the card, but I would go with the Trios Tag Team Title match.
Longest Match
There are a few matches that I can see going over 30 minutes, so it’s hard to pick one. I’ll go with Okada-Omega at 35 minutes.
Shortest Match
At Double or Nothing in May, the longest match was about 12 minutes and it was the Tag Team Title match. I’ll go with the Tag Team Title match as the shortest here too at 13 minutes.
Excitement Level on a Scale of 1-10 (1 being low, 10 being high)
I’m going 8.5 out of 10, which is pretty high for me in terms of the excitement level. I think they have built up the card very well and I’m excited to see it. Once again, I’m also happy that it’s an afternoon show that will end in the early evening rather than being a long night of writing. There should be several outstanding matches, I expect big entrances and a lot of surprises as well. I think AEW is in a good spot as a promotion right now and I’m looking forward to the show.
I’ll be back with a review of AEW All In Texas on TJRWrestling.net on Saturday. You can also tweet me on X/Twitter at @johnreport as well.
