Report: WWE Has Not Signed Tony Nese & Drew Gulak

World Wrestling Entertainment has not signed Tony Nese and Drew Gulak, despite both men making their Raw debut last night in separate matches. This is according to a report from PWInsider. On last night’s Raw, Tony Nese lost to WWE Cruiserweight Champion T.J. Perkins while Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado lost to the team of Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann.

PWInsider’s report goes on to say that although WWE has not yet signed the EVOLVE stars, the pair can (and will likely) still be booked for additional Raw and NXT appearances. This is due to WWE and EVOLVE’s working relationship. Another by-product of their working relationship is that if EVOLVE wrestlers wanted to get out of their contracts for WWE deals, they easily can. However, if they’d want to go to a company such as TNA, EVOLVE would have to grant them a release. Therefore, a talent like Nese, for example, wouldn’t be on Raw one night and then pop up on TNA the following week.

Lastly, PWInsider notes that WWE is high on bringing Gulak into the Performance Center, as they see him being a potential trainer.
