Report: NXT Announcer Mauro Ranallo Parting Ways with WWE, Ranallo Confirms Departure with Statement
It appears the voice of NXT, Mauro Ranallo, is moving on from WWE.
It was first reported in a tweet from Dave Meltzer.

On Monday night, Ranallo offered this statement on his Facebook page:
Mauro Ranallo & WWE part ways
Ranallo, “I appreciate the opportunity I had to realize my childhood dream of working in sports entertainment, and I wish WWE well in the future. Now I want to direct my focus and devote my time to my other projects and to my mental health charitable activities and the well-being of my mother and myself.”

WWE and Mauro Ranallo have mutually and amicably agreed to part ways.
Mauro’s passion and enthusiasm left an indelible and exciting mark with WWE and its fans, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
A mutual and amicable parting of ways means that maybe they can work together in the future.
Prior to the pandemic hitting in March, the main NXT announce team was Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix and Nigel McGuinness. After the pandemic, Nigel was furloughed by WWE while Mauro was calling NXT action from home in California while Beth was calling it from home in North Carolina.
Ranallo was absent for NXT Takeover XXX on August 22 and then he missed the NXT tapings last week with Wade Barrett filling in as a guest announcer. We noted earlier today that Barrett is talking to WWE about joining the commentary team full time. Ranallo was apparently absent due to a family matter in Canada that caused him to go home since he lives in California now.
We wish the Mauro the best. It’s well documented that Mauro has mental health issues and we hope that’s not the cause of this decision.
