Report: Neville Is Not Under WWE Contract Anymore

TJR Wrestling

Neville has not appeared on WWE television since last October when he chose to walk away from the company. While Neville hasn’t publicly commented on his absence, the belief is that he left due to his frustrations with the way he was used in WWE. Neville was the focal point of the cruiserweight division until he put over Enzo Amore as the Cruiserweight Champion, but many believe that he wanted to be more than just being labeled as a cruiserweight. Since then, there have been a lot of different reports about if he would be able to work out a return to WWE or if he was done for good.

A new report on Pro Wrestling Sheet from Ryan Satin claims that Neville is apparently no longer under WWE contract according to a source familiar with the situation. They noted that Neville’s WWE deal expired although we don’t know when the deal expired.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Neville is apparently free to wrestle anywhere.

There is speculation that Neville could appear at the “All In” show on September 1 that is being promoted by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. It seems like they were dropping hints that it’s likely to happen since Cody tweeted that he missed Neville while Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks wrote in a tweet: “Me too. I talked to him the other day. He’s good.” The All In show is being broadcast on PPV, so having Neville show up there would be a nice surprise.

Neville wrestled as PAC during his pre-WWE days, so he would likely go back to that name on the indies whenever he shows up again. He is only 32 years old, so he has plenty of great years left in his career.

Good luck to Neville or PAC with whatever he does next.
