Reasoning For Amazing Red’s Absence In WWE Cruiserweight Classic

Former TNA X-Division Champion Amazing Red was originally supposed to be in next month’s (July 13) WWE Cruiserweight Classic. However, the names of all 32 participants were revealed by WWE yesterday and Red’s name was not on the list.

The reasoning for Red’s absence is reportedly due to him suffering from a broken ankle. This injury unfortunately happened recently, which means he would not be ready in time for the Cruiserweight Classic’s initial tapings on June 23. This is all according to PWInsider.

The good news for Red is that this is the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic. If it’s a success and WWE decides to bring it back next year, then maybe Red can right the wrong and be involved the second time around.
