Paul Heyman Picks His Fantasy Survivor Series Team

Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman has done what every wrestling fan does and fantasy booked his own Survivor Series squad that he thinks could handle any team.

1987 saw the first iteration of Survivor Series with the tag line “teams of five strive to survive.” Over the years the event has seen the teams vary between 4 and 5 competitors but the elimination tag team matches are a much-loved part of WWE history.

Speaking to Z100, Paul Heyman gave his ideal team of only four to compete in the November spectacular, and he didn’t have to stray too far to find his ideal group:

“Roman Reigns, The Usos, and I will even throw myself in there because I will never need to tag in. The three of them can handle any four beings on the face of the planet.”

Paul Heyman is clearly a man of the present day, picking The Bloodline he has faithfully represented on SmackDown for the past several months since The Usos joined Roman Reigns in the group. Had he looked to the past he could have picked from a plethora of talent that he had represented on-screen including Arn Anderson, Steve Austin, CM Punk, and The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.

Paul Heyman and The Bloodline had their hands full when Lesnar returned to SmackDown in Madison Square Garden. He issued a challenge to Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship which Reigns ultimately accepted. Brock Lesnar stirred the pot with The Bloodline as he asked Heyman publicly why his one-time advocate hadn’t warned Roman Reigns that Brock Lesnar was going to show up at SummerSlam.
