Next Round Of WWE NXT Call-Ups Reportedly Happening This Fall

World Wrestling Entertainment’s main roster received an influx of fresh faces this past Tuesday as six NXT Superstars were picked during the Brand Extension Draft. Finn Balor and Nia Jax were drafted to Raw while American Alpha, Alexa Bliss, Mojo Rawley and Carmella were drafted to Smackdown.

Many people were puzzled by the draft picks of Alexa Bliss, Mojo Rawley and Carmella since there were many other more worthy candidates that could have been drafted such as NXT Champion Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. This doesn’t even include former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley, “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” Austin Aries, or NXT veteran Tye Dillinger.

Although Sasha Banks has denied it, there is a possibility that Bayley may be her “mystery partner” during Banks’ tag team match against WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and Dana Brooke this Sunday at Battleground. However, if Bayley is not Banks’ tag team partner this Sunday, she is expected to be on the main roster by September since that is when the next round of NXT call-ups will be happening. This is according to the latest edition of Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II will take place the night before SummerSlam on August 20. That results of that show will likely hint at which NXT stars will head to the main roster next.
