Zack Clayton Signs With AEW
Zack Clayton, star of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, has officially put pen to paper with All Elite Wrestling following a series of staggered appearances.
Zack Clayton is All Elite.
The reality television star announced as such during the latest broadcast of AEW Dark, stating in a pre-taped backstage segment that he was now part of the AEW roster. It’s unknown what contract Clayton is currently signed to, with the Tony Khan-helmed organisation operating both full-time and tiered deals for its performers.
Stating that the landscape of AEW has changed with his signing, ‘The Reality’ Zack Clayton boldly declared anyone to step up and challenge him, indicating an open challenge may soon be coming to AEW programming:
“The landscape of AEW has changed indefinitely, and that’s because I’ve officially signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling. Let me tell you what that means for you: number one, you’re gonna respect me, and you’re gonna worship the ground that I stand on. Number two, I’m gonna do whatever I wanna do around here, and I don’t care who likes it or not.
All of a sudden, everyone wants to play ‘tough guy’ around here. Everybody’s a tough guy. So if everyone’s so tough, then how about someone steps up and challenges ‘The Reality?’ But I’m not so sure that’s gonna happen. So until then, how about I remind everybody of the newest and biggest new sign-on to AEW, ‘The Reality’ Zack Clayton.”
Having previously competed for a handful of independent promotions over the past near-decade, Zack Clayton first laced up his boots in AEW for a bout with QT Marshall on the 9 June 2020 broadcast of AEW Dark. He’s since wrestled the likes of Tony Nese, Dante Martin, and Joey Janela, scoring his first win over Serpentico this past February.
Clayton’s biggest AEW bout to date came by way of his unsuccessful FTW Championship challenge vs. HOOK on the 19 August Rampage, losing to ‘The Cold-Blooded Handsome Devil’ in just fourteen seconds.
