Xavier Woods has got fans talking.

In recent weeks things haven’t been going well for the New Day and Xavier Woods with the team seemingly on the verge of a breakup. However, it seems there could be more twists and turns to come.

In a post on social media, Woods cryptically teased that some “old friends” could be on the way.

The streets saying that I may see some old friends soon. Just so yall know, I’m not a kid anymore.

Although Woods didn’t provide any kind of context for his comments, it seems likely that he’s referring to the impending arrival of the Motor City Machine Guns. On September 14th it was reported that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley had signed with WWE and could debut imminently.

Woods battled with the pair during his time in TNA from 2007 until 2010.

Tension Rising Between Xavier Woods And Kofi Kingston

The seeds of dissension between Woods and Kingston were planted by Karrion Kross and it seems the mind games have worked.

On the September 16th episode of Raw, the New Day challenged Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Titles. Ahead of the match, Woods approached the Judgment Day to try and ensure a fair fight, but with the match underway, the LWO got involved to help the pair at the behest of Kingston.

Despite the intervention from the LWO the New Day lost, and Woods wasn’t happy. After the match, he scalded the LWO before Kingston revealed he was the one behind their involvement.

Xavier Woods exploded backstage, a moment not helped by Kingston blurting out that the pair never used to need help because they had Big E.
