In over a week, WWE will wrap up its 2025 airing of tapings.

It was not the Stamford promotion’s best year in terms of creative work, as it faced its share of ups and downs. Nevertheless, it succeeded in producing a few key moments that acted as an anchor for the subsequent storytelling.

WWE has released a list of the top 25 moments featuring some of the company’s top stars, including John Cena, Gunther, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Roman Reigns, etc.

The year kicked off with RAW debuting on Netflix, a show that witnessed the past, present, and future talents appear together for one night only.

A few months later, fan-favorite Jey Uso went on to defeat Gunther to claim his maiden World Heavyweight Championship at The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania.

CM Punk himself had a big year since returning to the company in 2023.

He won the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, only for the moment to be stolen by Seth Rollins, who had been feigning a knee injury. Despite losing his title within 5 minutes, he persisted and won it again at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI.

WWE Ranks John Cena’s Heel Turn At #1

John Cena retired on December 13, but not before getting 36 days that celebrated him as he rode off into the sunset.

One of the most shocking incidents featuring him occurred at WWE Elimination Chamber, where he turned heel and aligned with The Rock.

He then captured a record 17th World Championship at WrestleMania 41 by defeating Cody Rhodes.

A few months later, he dropped his heel gimmick and produced magnificent matches against the likes of Logan Paul, AJ Styles, and Dominik Mysterio.

However, his departure couldn’t have been more controversial, as he tapped out to Gunther on his way out.
