WWE’s Response To Goldberg’s Negative Comments Predicted
Goldberg made headlines following Saturday Night’s Main Event, not because of his match against Gunther, but for blasting WWE over cutting short his retirement speech.
Da Man suffered a defeat at the hands of The Ring General in his retirement match at Atlanta, Georgia.
Following the loss, he addressed the crowd in State Farm Arena, but the broadcast ended just when he started speaking, which did not sit well with him.
WWE possibly will not take Goldberg’s comments lightly
The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he was furious over how his retirement speech was handled. While he did express gratitude for the opportunity, he seemed to have wanted more out of what he was already given.
While in conversation with Vince Russo, Jonathan Coachman addressed the situation. He claimed that it’s possible the global juggernaut cut off his speech short on purpose, and that was a payback for Da Man being difficult to work with.
However, had the Hall of Famer not passed judgment on WWE’s actions, the chances of the short speech being taken down from everywhere would have been less.
The match was 14 minutes and 23 seconds. Goldberg, that was the longest singles match in his career. You easily could have made it seven or eight if they would have decided to. I do think he was probably a pain in the a** to work with, and WWE said, ‘this is how we get back at him’. I do think WWE did it on purpose, but I do not think he understands just where his interview could have gone and now WWE will take it down from everywhere.
While some have blasted Goldberg, the company has also been termed ‘amateurish’ for the way the retirement speech was handled.
