WWE’s Rejected Contract Offer To Departing Star Revealed
The contract offer WWE made to one star, which was rejected, has now been revealed.
Questions arose very quickly on the status of one WWE star following an abrupt attack on the September 23rd edition of NXT.
Fallon Henley and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne heard a bang backstage and, on investigating, found their Fatal Influence teammate Jazmyn Nyx had been the victim of a mysterious attack. Jayne, however, had a surprising take on the situation as she simply told Henley: “It was time to drop her anyway. Only the strong survive.”
PWInsider first reported that the reason for her sudden exit from Fatal Influence is that Nyx will be leaving WWE. Nyx has now explained her side of the story, noting that she refused WWE’s first offer as it was not financially what she was looking for.
Jazmyn Nyx Turned Down WWE’s New Offer
Fightful Select has now indicated just what that offer was that Nyx rejected. The report noted WWE wanted to keep Nyx but refused to move from their offer. Nyx was said to be making around $75,000 per year, with that amount offered for her to re-sign on a new multi-year deal. It’s unknown if there were pay escalators built into the offer.
Main roster base pay is said to start at $350,000 per year, but some talents on the NXT roster are also believed to be making six figures as well. The $75,000 per year is significantly more than what some talents make when they are first brought into the company.
Another WWE star has also announced their departure from the company following Nyx’s exit.
