WWE’s Offer Was Allegedly Designed To Force Karrion Kross To Quit

Karrion Kross was released from WWE on August 10, 2025, after his contract expired. Both he and Scarlett were quietly removed from the company’s internal roster and moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website, confirming their status as free agents.

Following his exit, Kross addressed fans directly, clarifying that his departure was not part of a wrestling storyline but a real separation. The couple took to social media to thank fans for their support and hinted at exciting new opportunities, with speculation ranging from appearances in TNA and NJPW to independent circuits.

Karrion Kross soon followed up by changing his name to Killer Kross and releasing a new entrance theme a week later called “Don’t Kross A Killer,” teasing future projects, stirring increased anticipation about his next steps.

WWE reportedly presented Karrion Kross with a new contract in the final week before his deal expired, but negotiations quickly stalled. The offer lacked transparency, with WWE refusing to explain how they arrived at the terms.

Karrion Kross asked for valuation details and was given only 24 hours to accept or decline; when he requested more time, WWE rescinded the offer the next day. The abruptness and lack of information left Kross feeling he could not make an informed decision, resulting in his departure from WWE.

Speaking on The Masters of Wrestling podcast, ex-WWE talent Mario Mancini claimed that WWE deliberately denied clarity on Karrion Kross’ new deal to force him to quit the promotion.

“I think it’s something that he said or did, and the office is hot and instead of getting rid of him, they wanted him to quit to walk away so they didn’t look like heels. So, what was the one way to do that? Give him a ridiculous low offer that he’ll never take. And that’s what they did. It’s a work. And he walked away.” [From 5:09 to 5:34]

Eric Bischoff Wants To See Karrion Kross In TNA

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff commented on Karrion Kross’s recent WWE release. He was disappointed with his abrupt release and advised the ex-WWE star to join TNA.

“I hope he ends up in TNA. TNA has got some sh*t going on. They’re making good moves. Their audience is growing. I said it here a month or two ago. They’re one major TV deal away from being the number two wrestling promotion in the country, in the world, for that matter… If I had to bet money, I’d bet we see him in TNA first.”
