WWE’s Real Motive Behind Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss Team

WWE seemingly has an ulterior motive for pairing Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss as the company’s latest odd couple.

Since Alexa Bliss returned to WWE screens, she’s been trying to form a friendship with Charlotte Flair. Flair has been unwilling to share the spotlight with anyone as The Queen tries to remain aloof to Bliss’s approaches.

However, there seems to have been a thaw from Flair, and she teamed with Bliss on the July 4th edition of SmackDown to book their place in a match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Evolution 2.

The pairing with Bliss has been a real change of pace for Charlotte Flair, who returned to WWE after a serious injury to win the 2025 Royal Rumble. And a former WWE writer thinks they know what the company is trying to do.

Is WWE Trying To Force Charlotte Flair To Be Cheered?

Speaking on BroDown, Vince Russo explained that he thinks WWE is trying to give fans a reason to cheer Charlotte Flair by putting her with Bliss:

This is their attempt to make Charlotte Flair babyface by giving her a rub with Alexa Bliss. However, there’s no story here. Alexa Bliss, there has been no explanation of why she’s saddling up Flair.

Give me something man. She’s not trying to really befriend Charlotte. She’s just showing up wherever Charlotte is. Give me something, give me a reason first that so I can understand, wrap my head around it.
