WWE’s Liv Morgan Heading To Tokyo As Movie Role Leaked
Liv Morgan is taking time away from WWE as she pursues her Hollywood ambitions and now her latest role has been revealed.
At WrestleMania 41, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were meant to defend their title against Lyra Valkryia and Bayley, but that match never took place. Bayley was taken out in a mysterious backstage attack, leaving Valkyria just 24 hours to find a new partner.
That led to Becky Lynch making her surprise WWE return as she joined Valkyria in winning tag team gold. However, just one night later on Raw, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez recaptured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title before Becky Lynch viciously turned on her partner.
Despite holding gold, Morgan is taking time off from WWE.
On the April 28 edition of Raw, Liv Morgan revealed she needed to take time away from WWE TV as she had landed a role in a “big Hollywood movie.” The details of what that movie is have now been revealed.
Liv Morgan Heading To Tokyo
Deadline has reported that Takashi Miike is set to direct Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, which will see Liv Morgan share the screen with Shun Oguri and Lily James. Morgan is slated to play a politician’s daughter who goes missing in Tokyo, while Lily James is the FBI agent sent to Japan to lead the investigation into her whereabouts.
Neon is the production company behind the movie, and it is said to be set for a theatrical release in North America, while the international sales rights will be shopped around at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
