WWE Yet To Offer Popular Star New Contract As Future Hangs In Balance
The future of one popular WWE star remains uncertain.
In recent weeks and months, Karrion Kross has grown to become one of the most popular stars in WWE. This is despite rarely wrestling on television and only making small appearances in backstage segments.
While it once seemed impossible that someone so popular could be released by WWE, the recent departure of R-Truth has shown fans that might not be the case.
With regard to Kross, despite his popularity, he’s only wrestled on the main roster twice in 2025, and his contract is set to run out within the coming months.
WWE Yet To Open Talks With Karrion Kross
According to a new report from Fightful Select, sources have suggested that Kross’ contract expires this summer, but the company is yet to open talks about a renewal or extension. There’s no word on whether there’s even interest in doing so.
Fightful adds that WWE typically notifies talent a month in advance if there are no plans to renew their contract. In recent months, the company has been happy to keep those talents on television and working until this decision is taken.
It’s believed Kross has a “few months” remaining on his contract.
Interestingly, Karrion Kross recently admitted he was “p*ssed” that his contract status leaked online, lamenting that some things should remain behind closed doors.
