WWE Yet To Reach Out To Hall Of Famer Over Return
A WWE Hall of Famer might not get back in the ring after all.
At the Royal Rumble, Nikki Bella made her long-awaited return to the ring after spending the best part of seven years in retirement with her only action coming in an eight-minute cameo in the 2022 Rumble.
Following the appearance, the former Divas Champion repeatedly stated that she’s continued to train and that her comeback isn’t a one-off. Furthermore, she said next time she wrestles, she won’t be coming alone.
Speaking ahead of WrestleMania, Nikki promised that Brie Bella would be joining her back in a WWE ring, sending fans into fantasy booking mode on social media.
“Okay, to wrap it up, I’m waiting for this one (motions to Brie) to join me in the ring. So yes, there will be a Bella Twins comeback.”
Brie Bella Casts Doubt On WWE Comeback
Despite those comments from Nikki, it seems a Bella Twins WWE reunion is far from a foregone conclusion.
On the most recent episode of the Nikki & Brie Show, the pair welcomed Nia Jax as they discussed all things WrestleMania. During the conversation, Jax said she would kick both their asses when they return, but the Hall of Famer’s hinted that a comeback might now be off the cards.
Nikki: “She’s still waiting for a call. We’re all waiting for something.”
Brie: “Not going to hold my breath, let me tell you.”
Brie Bella hasn’t wrestled since making a short appearance in the 2022 Royal Rumble, with her last singles match taking place in 2018.
