Ex-WWE Writer Says Bray Wyatt Is Underutilized Genius
One former WWE is firmly in the camp that Bray Wyatt has plenty more to offer to WWE than we’re seeing at the moment.
Bray Wyatt made a dramatic return to WWE at the end of Extreme Rules 2022, after much speculation that he was on his way and a number of teases in the programming which preceded it. This was one of many returns to take place in a short period of time after Triple H took over at the helm of the company shortly before SummerSlam.
However, despite a return which has coveted so much fanfare and plenty of television time, Wyatt has only competed in one actual match since making his way back to the organization – a victorious effort against LA Knight in the Pitch Black Match at Royal Rumble 2023.
In a discussion on the Oh You Didn’t Know? Podcast, former WWE writer Vince Russo has noted that he feels there are a number of stars in WWE that are currently being underutilized, and that Bray Wyatt is one of them.
I feel, my opinion, that there are people that are being underutilized, and I think it’s like simple things. I think Bray’s a freaking genius.
Continuing on, Russo commented that the challenges faced by writers now is similar to when he was there.
I worked with a great roster, I worked with great individuals, but what they don’t understand is I had to feed them every week.
If things continue to move in the same direction, it looks as though Bray Wyatt is destined for a match with ‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, whilst the identity and motives of Uncle Howdy are still unknown.
