WWE Teasing WrestleMania Main Event At Survivor Series

Survivor Series is on the horizon, and it seems that show could hold the answer to which WWE stars will headline WrestleMania 42.

The road to WrestleMania in WWE traditionally starts at the Royal Rumble, but it might get an unofficial head start this year. Survivor Series will see two huge WarGames matches take place with Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, and AJ Lee facing Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Nia Jax, and The Kabuki Warriors in the women’s bout.

The men’s match will see Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and The Vision take on CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Roman Reigns. And it seems that is the match that fans should be keeping an eye on if they want to work out who is going to headline WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

WWE Teasing WrestleMania Main Event

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that there is expected to be major teases at Survivor Series that will hint at what the WrestleMania 42 main event will be:

It was gonna be Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, and Seth Rollins did say he’s hoping to get back for WrestleMania. I was given the impression that on Saturday, there will be teases that will help you figure out who the WrestleMania main event will be. Certainly on Monday, the tease on Monday would lead you to believe it’s Roman Reigns challenging either Cody Rhodes or CM Punk.

In which case, because Cody Rhodes has been done twice before, I’d favour them going with Punk. I think on Saturday we will have a better idea. Although I bet the shoot a tease with both of them just to keep that question going. There are going to be teases of something on the show on Saturday.

The respective nights of WrestleMania 41 were headlined by Seth Rollins defeating Roman Reigns and CM Punk in a triple threat match, and John Cena capturing the WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes.
