WWE WrestleMania 42 Main Event Plan Revealed
One of the planned main events of WWE WrestleMania 42 has seemingly been revealed, but could those plans have changed?
At Crown Jewel, life got as good as it’s ever been for Seth Rollins when he defeated Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Crown Jewel Championship.
Just two days later, however, his world came tumbling down. At the end of the October 13th edition of Raw, The Vision stood tall in the ring as the united force at the top of the red brand. That’s when Bron Breakker shocked the world and speared Rollins.
Breakker then convinced Bronson Reed to join him and abandon Rollins, which Reed duly did by delivering a Tsunami. Perhaps most shocking of all was Paul Heyman’s readiness to also leave Rollins behind as he raised Breakker and Reed’s hands.
There have been suggestions that the turn happened due to an injury suffered by Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel. But it seems betrayal was always on the cards for The Vision.
Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns At WWE WrestleMania 42?
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained his belief that Seth Rollins was set to face Roman Reigns at WWE’s biggest show of the year, and he’d likely have been betrayed at some point before that:
Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don’t know this, but I have been told enough things to where I expected there would be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point.
The whole thing with this faction was that it was not about Seth Rollins – it was about Bron Breakker, and making Bron Breakker the next Roman Reigns. How you do that, I wasn’t told, I was just thinking that’s how you end up doing it, but I doubt it was gonna be this early.
Depending on how serious Rollins’ injury might be, there are huge question marks hanging over whether he’ll even be able to compete at WrestleMania 42. While it was noted that the match would be a main event, it seems likely on a two-night show that the former Shield partners battling for the World Heavyweight Title would headline the event.
