WWE WrestleMania 40 Match Order Revealed

WrestleMania 40 is now just around the corner and it seems the match order for the two-night spectacular has been decided.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the match order for WrestleMania and seemed to indicate that title matches will be opening both nights of the event.

According to their information, WrestleMania 40 will kick off with Rhea Ripley defending the Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch. That bout will be followed by the six-pack ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship with Dominik Mysterio teaming with Santos Escobar to face Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee coming after.

The battle between The Usos will continue the family vs. family theme before Jade Cargill makes her WrestleMania debut, teaming with Bianca Belair and Naomi to take on The Kabuki Warriors and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL.

Sami Zayn will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship after that with the main event as expected with The Rock teaming with Roman Reigns to battle Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

That means Seth Rollins will technically be in two WrestleMania matches in a row as he is set to open night two of the event by defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre. The Philadelphia Street Fight between The Street Profits, Bobby Lashley, and The Final Testament is slated to follow the title bout with LA Knight and AJ Styles battling after.

The US Championship match pitting Logan Paul, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens against each other will follow before IYO SKY defends the WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley.

The event will wrap up with the main event of Roman Reigns defending his WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes. Whether or not that match will be ‘Bloodline Rules’ or if The Bloodline will be banned from ringside for that match remains to be seen.
