A 2-time WWE Champion has confirmed their character change.

Natalya has been on an individual journey and is currently exploring the independent circuit while being signed with the Stamford promotion.

In August, she challenged Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on RAW, but lost.

Transitioning to the indies, she began wrestling under the name Nattie, which was her pre-WWE name.

She even made multiple appearances in AAA Lucha Libre, challenging for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title at its supershows.

Her ‘Nattie’ persona also goes by the moniker “The Lowkey Legend,” which is quite the opposite of the Natalya persona that the fans have known over the years.

Fans who watched her matches in AAA witnessed a side of her that is brutal and unforgiving, executing hard-hitting spots and submissions.

Whether or not she debuts her Lowkey Legend persona anytime soon in the Stamford promotion remains to be seen. But it is something the fans believe can win her a third world championship.

Natalya Featured In WWE Vignette Alongside Maxxine Dupri

Since March 2025, Maxxine Dupri has been aligned with Natalya, officially forming a team called The Dungeon Dolls.

Dupri was often used as a jobber to push other talent, but her run-in with Becky Lynch changed that.

Her three consecutive wins over The Man across several weeks saw her claim the Women’s Intercontinental Championship for the first time on November 17.

On the December 1 episode of RAW, WWE ran a vignette of Dupri underoing a training session at Natalya’s Dungeon 2.0.

In the strenuous session, Dupri is seen beating multiple challengers until she faces off against ‘Nattie,’ who dismantles her.

She then slaps the IC Champion and tells her to get out of her ring. Dupri, however, yells, “Again.”

Natalya is seen for the first time in the video, smirking.
