WWE Women’s US Title Tournament Final Set

WWE Womens US United States Title

The finals of the tournament to crown WWE’s first US Women’s Champion are set for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

There were 12 SmackDown women who started in the tournament to crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. Those twelve men took part in four triple threat matches to set up the semifinal matches.

Jade Cargill was supposed to be in the tournament, but she was mysteriously taken out in a backstage attack and replaced by Lash Legend, who did not advance in the tournament.

In the first semifinal match on WWE Smackdown in Hartford, Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton faced off against Michin. Stratton went for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever off the top, Michin rolled into it and Stratton barely touched her with it, so the idea was that Michin avoided the move as best she could. Michin hit Eat Defeat for the win.

The second semifinal match was between former Women’s Champion Bayley and Chelsea Green, who had her buddy Piper Niven at ringside. Bayley was in control when Niven pulled Green out of the ring to save her. After Bayley took out Niven on the floor, Green sent Bayley into the barricade. When they got back in the ring, Green kicked Bayley and Green hit the Unpretty-her for the pinfall win.

That means that the finals of the tournament will see Michin face Chelsea Green to crown the new WWE Women’s US Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
