WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Picture Heats Up On SmackDown
After years of being left neglected, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship scenario is currently hotter than it has ever been since the titles were introduced seven years back.
The current champions, Kabuki Warriors, have a huge target painted on their backs with multiple teams chasing the belts. Last week, Lash Legend comprehensively beat Alexa Bliss in singles action and was set for tag team action tonight.
Legend teamed up with her partner, Nia Jax, to take on the Kabuki Warriors, knowing fully well that a win tonight would get them a shot at the tag team championships in the future.

The Kabuki Warriors had to dig deep in this match against their WarGames teammates, but the two bigger women dominated for large parts of the match. They had the size advantage of the Kabuki Warriors and used it to their advantage.
Asuka turned the match in her side’s favor singe-handedly briefly, and seemed to have won the tie for her side, but was taken out by Lash Legend. This allowed Nia Jax to take control once again and hit Kairi with the A-nia-lator to win the match.

They weren’t able to celebrate their win for long as Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss took out Nia and Lash right afterwards, clearing the field and staking a claim for the women’s tag team championships.
