WWE Want Recently Departed TNA Star
TNA and WWE might be working together but now it seems WWE want to sign another star that their partners have recently let go.
On March 7, Alex Hammerstone announced he had left TNA Wrestling and was looking for new opportunities. In a post on social media, the star confirmed he’d wrestled his last match for the company during its February tapings and was looking to the future:
I wrestled my last match for TNA at the February tapings and am no longer under contract with the company. Grateful for the opportunities that came my way and excited for what’s next.
Hammerstone had initially signed with TNA in early 2024 but later suffered a knee injury in December. In a follow-up video, the star hit back at online theories about supposed injuries he’d suffered during his time with the company, revealing he’d been misdiagnosed with a heart issue, which turned out to be pneumonia.
Plenty of fans have been asking if Hammerstone could be on his way to another company and it seems that WWE is interested in the star.
WWE Wants Hammerstone
Speaking on the Backstage Pass podcast, WrestleVotes noted that while he doesn’t know if Hammerstone is interested in WWE, WWE is certainly interested in him:
I know there’s interest with Alex Hammerstone. I don’t know if he’s looking for a WWE contract, if he’s going to spend some time on the indies or whatnot, but I know there’s interest from WWE in Alex Hammerstone.
Some fans, however, have already booked their own future for Hammerstone that wouldn’t involve WWE at all. During his time in MLW, Hammerstone was part of a faction called Dynasty with Richard Holliday and MJF. MJF is currently being headhunted by MVP for The Hurt Syndicate but many AEW fans want to see him bring his former partners into the company to battle MVP’s group instead.
