WWE Releases Video Announcing Triple H As 2025 Hall Of Fame Inductee

Triple H will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and a video has been released showing how shocked “The Game” was by the news.

As the current WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque is a busy man who is leading the way for a company that is thriving. In his role as CCO, he gets to call the shots for the creative team and also has a major say in terms of the talent on the roster.

Longtime WWE fans know that Levesque was initially introduced to the audience as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, a Greenwich CT snob who liked to show off how rich he was. Within a few years, D-Generation X was formed with Shawn Michaels and Chyna and the rest is history. The “Triple H” name took over at that point although some people still call him Hunter and occasionally “Helmsley” is used as well.

It was reported just days before the Royal Rumble by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, that Triple H will be headlining the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas. Even though Levesque has already been inducted into the Hall of Fame with D-Generation X, he hasn’t been honored as a solo star, and obviously, he deserves it.

During his run as a superstar in WWE, Triple H was a 14-time WWE World Champion who headlined numerous major shows in a main event run that lasted over a decade. He had memorable matches and rivalries with big names like The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Batista, and so many others.

While Triple H had runs as a babyface during his career, he will be remembered by a lot of people as being one of the best heels in the history of WWE.

The news of Triple H’s Hall of Fame induction was done at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut during a Town Hall for company employees. In a video posted by Triple H’s best friend and WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels on social media, it is clear that Hunter had no idea it was coming when Michaels and fellow WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker made the announcement.

Shawn Michaels: “HBK and The Undertaker have made an executive decision here today.

The Undertaker: “It’s way, way past overdue.”

Michaels: “Though you are in the Hall of Fame as a member of Degeneration-X, it is only fitting that the Cerebral Assassin, The Game, Triple H, at Wrestlemania 41, take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.”

How Did Triple H React When Surprised By WWE Hall Of Fame Announcement?

The video clearly shows that Triple H was surprised by Michaels, Undertaker, and everybody else announcing that Hunter would be in the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class. When he spoke, Hunter said this.

“From a guy that usually has I have something to say about everything, I’m speechless. I’m going to kill Nick [Khan] when we leave here (laughing). If you see somebody flying off of the roof, just ignore it. I don’t know what else to say. Just thank you.”

After Triple H spoke, his wife, former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon, went on stage and gave her husband a big hug. Triple H and Stephanie have been married since 2003 and have three daughters together.

It was also confirmed by WWE on their website as well as their social media channels that Triple H will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

In past years, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony took place on the last Smackdown before WrestleMania, which would be April 18th this year, but the company hasn’t confirmed when the Hall of Fame ceremony will take place this year and changes are being considered for the ceremony.
