WWE Veteran Thought Jordynne Grace Would Go Straight To Main Roster
Jordynne Grace’s appearance in NXT caught one veteran by surprise.
At the Royal Rumble, Jordynne Grace made her official WWE debut after ending her near-seven-year stay with TNA.
However, Grace was already well known to WWE fans having competed at the 2024 event, and on several episodes of NXT while under contract with TNA.
Following her re-debut, there was a great deal of speculation around Grace and what might come next. While some felt she could return to NXT, others expected her to become a fixture on the main roster given her profile and experience.
Those questions were answered at NXT Vengeance Day when Jordynne Grace confronted Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia as the show went off the air.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT announcer Booker T said he expected to see Grace go straight to the main roster, but he feels the sky’s the limit for the new signing.
“Back to Vengeance Day, you know, I thought Jordynne Grace was gonna, you know, go straight to the main roster, but it looks like she’s gonna be sticking around NXT for a minute. You know, she showed up, looked like her and Stephanie Vaquer may, you know, have something.
I mean, the sky’s the limit for Jordynne Grace. I mean, she looks so ready for this moment. I swear to God, she looks so ready for this moment. I’m so glad for… I’m so, so glad for her to actually have this time to shine.”
What Does WWE Have Planned For Jordynne Grace?
While Booker might not have expected Grace to land in NXT, according to one report, that’s been the company’s plan for several weeks. As noted in the report, Jordynne Grace was expected to start in NXT, before moving to the main roster relatively quickly.
It’s believed the former TNA Knockouts Champion has signed a five-year contract on “main roster-level” money.
TNA was interested in re-signing Grace when her deal expired but understood she always intended to sign with WWE.
