WWE Veteran Had Specific Demand For Recent Contract Renewal

A WWE great was reported to be on the fence about re-signing with the company in 2024.

Amid contract negotiations, Natalya was expected to get lucrative deals from other promotions, but she ultimately settled on the Stamford-based company.

The 43-year-old has now revealed that her new deal came with a personal clause, which included her biography.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Natalya claimed that a book deal was not her dream, but her condition to remain with WWE.

I had been thinking about writing a book for a long time, and so, when my contract was coming up last year, in like June of 2024, one of the things that I really wanted — I was like, ‘I got some new goals.’

One of them was I want to do a book, and so, that was one of the things I brought to WWE that I was like, ‘Listen, there’s a bunch of stuff that I wanna do, and I really, really wanna write a book and I really need the company, I need you guys to give me your blessing on it, if we’re gonna move forward and I’m going to continue to work here because I love working for WWE.

The promotion was supportive of her authorial ambition, and not only allowed her to use the championship titles on her book cover, but also gave her access to archival images.

Natalya To Challenge For Major Championship Outside WWE

Natalya has not been excessively featured on the WWE main roster in 2025.

However, due to the company’s new partnership deals, other promotions have opened their doors to World Wrestling Entertainment’s talents, giving wrestlers like Natalya the chance to compete elsewhere.

At AAA Triplemania XXXIII, she unsuccessfully challenged for the Reina de Reinas title in a three-way match against Flammer and Faby Apache.

While she did not win the title, she did put on a dominant show, taking the audience by surprise with her evolved fighting style.

She will once again compete for the same championship on October 25 at Heroes Inmortales XVII in a triple threat match against the same opponents.

Dominik Mysterio is also on the card to defend his AAA Mega Championship against Dragon Lee.
