WWE Veteran Can’t Believe John Cena Agreed To Controversial Idea

A WWE veteran is criticizing how John Cena won his record-breaking 17th championship.

Jonathan Coachman recently appeared on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, wherein he discussed a host of topics.

While talking about Cena’s title win at WrestleMania 41, the former announcer came down hard on the way the events unfolded. He was also critical of the Rock’s absence on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

He said that the Brahma Bull sucked the oxygen out of the arena by not being there and later going on Pat McAfee’s podcast to justify his actions, saying he did not want to take attention away from Cena.

Instead, it was Travis Scott who appeared on the show and interfered in the match, pulling the referee out of the ring after Rhodes hit Cena with Cross Rhodes.

I’m a pretty creative person, but it would have taken me about that long (snaps finger) to go, ‘Okay, let’s have a boring match with a few moves and then send Travis Scott and all 160 pounds of him down to the ring,’ and then have John Cena miss Cody (Rhodes) by a foot with the shot with the belt and that’s how Cena wanted to move into the record books?

So, when you talk about the 17-time world champion, that’s gonna be the match that he won it in? That’s what he’s gonna be bragging about for the rest of his career? Come on, don’t insult our intelligence. That was quite possibly the worst way you could break the record.

And I know Cena. I’ve traveled with Cena. I can’t believe that he was on board with this. But, alas, he’s also a team player. [From 31:14]

WWE MITB To Feature Cody Rhodes Vs. John Cena

While Cody Rhodes and John Cena will face off at WWE Money in the Bank PLE on June 7, it will be in a tag team match.

Rhodes will ally with WWE Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso, while Paul Logan will be Cena’s partner.

This week on SmackDown, Cena and Paul got the better of the babyfaces by laying out both Rhodes and Uso in the final segment.

Cena ended the show by cutting a promo that was in line with him “ruining wrestling” for every fan, while pushing Paul as the future of the business.
