WWE Urged To Debut Major AEW Star On Main Roster After Potential Signing

WWE has had various stars jump ship from AEW in 2025.

The list includes names such as Mariah May, Penta, Rey Fenix, Rusev, and Ricky Starks.

Now, another name has made it to the list, and if rumors are anything to go by, it can be a big game-changer for the Stamford-based company.

The personality in question is Britt Baker.

Baker’s last appearance in AEW was on the November 13, 2024, episode of Dynamite.

The former champion addressed her absence in December, stating that she had been filming and had also made a guest appearance in the sixth season of Cobra Kai.

I’m filming some fun stuff, can’t wait to tell everybody what it is. It’s on the down low for now but it’s really exciting and it’s cool, it’s really cool. I think people will be really excited about it.

However, there have also been reports of backstage tensions and creative frustrations.

Wade Keller, an American professional wrestling journalist, had even issued a lengthy statement about it when talking to PWTorch Hotline.

Britt Baker, meanwhile, had lashed out at online trolls, telling them to leave her alone.

Britt Baker Is Ready For The WWE Main Roster

Appearing on the Behind the Turnbuckle Studios podcast, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci claimed that Baker is an experienced wrestler and should be debuted on the WWE main roster.

If it’s true that Britt Baker is signed with WWE, that’s a pretty big thing. She was a pretty big thing at AEW. I don’t know what happened over there…but she was a top talent for a long time when they first started out there.

So, I think it’s a big coup for WWE to get her. Now, whether she starts out in NXT or if it’s RAW, I’d bring her to the main roster right away cuz she’s ready. [14:06 onwards]

Baker had signed a five-year contract with AEW in 2021. Her contract is likely to expire in late 2026.
