WWE Urged To Fire Employee Because Of Goldberg

Goldberg WWE

It’s been suggested that WWE should be looking at firing someone after Goldberg’s retirement was prematurely cut.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Goldberg returned to WWE action for the first time in three years as he challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The match had been announced as the final one of Goldberg’s iconic career, and it took place in the city where he made his name, Atlanta, Georgia. The WWE Hall of Famer’s famous entrance from his locker room saw him flanked by several names from his WCW past, including former head of security for the company Doug Dellinger, as well as Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller and DDP.

Ultimately, however, Goldberg was put to sleep by Gunther to bring his career to an end as The Ring General retained his title. After the match, Goldberg was surrounded by friends and family to give his farewell address, but those watching the show saw it abruptly end, leaving them guessing what Goldberg had to say.

But that couldn’t have been WWE’s plan, could it?

Goldberg Snub Should Lead To WWE Firing

Speaking on his YouTube channel, former WWE writer Vince Russo suggested there could have been a conspiracy leading to Goldberg being cut off, but if not, then someone should be fired:

That’s why you always have to question, was that done on purpose, bro? Seriously? You are on primetime on NBC, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and you are going to screw up the timing so we can’t get Goldberg’s speech in? Are you gonna tell me I should not hit my conspiracy theory music, bro?

If you’re not hitting cues and you are a professional, somebody should be losing their job.
