WWE Turned Down Star’s TLC Pitch

Karrion Kross has revealed that WWE creative once turned down a pitch for a TLC bout with Jeff Hardy.

The revelation came to light recently on social media site ‘X’ after Kross answered a fan question regarding his July 2021 Raw debut against Hardy and specifically the use of a new theme for Hardy’s entrance for the bout.

Kross was the reigning NXT Champion at the time, so his elevation to the main roster looked set to be a huge deal. Despite this hope, Kross was defeated in less than two minutes by Hardy due to time cuts and the duo’s hope for a long feud to be concluded in a tables, ladders and chairs match was quickly dashed.

“They wouldn’t tell Jeff all day whether they’d play it and we were both annoyed about the apprehension to do it. Jeff and I wanted to carry this to extreme rules to blow off the match in a TLC. We both tried to fight for it but no luck. Maybe one day…”

Kross was given a bizarre new Gladiator-style gimmick shortly thereafter in an ill-judged character change that would ultimately end in his release in November of that year. Kross made his return to WWE with his wife Scarlett in August 2022, less than a year after the couple were originally released.

The 38 year-old Superstar is currently aligned with the Authors Of Pain, known collectively as The Final Testament. The faction have been feuding with Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits throughout 2024 with Kross making his WrestleMania debut in a losing effort on night two at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field.

WWE Star Teases Huge Future Bouts

One WWE Superstar who could be headed for the exit door is veteran female performer Natalya.

Sources suggest that just days remain on her WWE contract and the Canadian did little to dispel the rumours by listing two TNA superstars as her dream future opponents in a recent interview.
