WWE Add Triple Threat Title Match To Clash At The Castle

Jade Cargill Bianca Belair WWE Women's Tag Team Champions

As Drew McIntyre and Piper Niven chase WWE gold in Scotland, two more of their compatriots will have their shot at a title at Clash at the Castle.

Drew McIntyre had the highest of highs and lowest of lows at WrestleMania 40 as The Scottish Warrior won and lost the World Heavyweight Title in the same night. McIntyre will get the chance to win that gold again in front of what is sure to be a raucous support in Glasgow, Scotland when he challenges Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle.

However, CM Punk has vowed to break Drew McIntyre’s heart again with McIntyre warning Punk that the fans might get involved if he turns up in Glasgow so nothing is certain.

Bayley had a more successful WrestleMania as she won the WWE Women’s Title and now despite being on the right side of the fans again, she might find the crowd against her on June 15th as she’ll put her gold on the line against another of Ayrshire’s finest, Piper Niven.

More Scottish Stars After WWE Gold

Now it’s been confirmed that more Scottish talent will be after gold at Clash at the Castle. On SmackDown in Louisville, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions made a request of General Manager Nick Aldis after clashes with two teams in recent weeks. Cargill and Belair asked for a Triple Threat title match against the teams of Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler and The Unholy Union of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre and that request was granted.

Fyre’s hometown of Johnstone is less than ten miles away from the OVO Hydro where Clash at the Castle will take place while out of all the Scottish talent on the show, Isla Dawn is the one truly competing in her hometown as she was born in Glasgow.

The confirmed card for WWE Clash at the Castle is:

  • Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre – World Heavyweight Championship
  • Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven – WWE Women’s Championship
  • Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles – I Quit match for the WWE Championship
  • Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable – Intercontinental Championship
  • Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill (c) vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark vs. Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
