Ex-WWE Star Accuses Triple H Of Burying Them Backstage
Triple H has a long‑running reputation for burying talent.
Several wrestlers and a big chunk of the fanbase believe The Game used his political power and booking influence to protect himself and his circle at the expense of others.
Critics argue that during his peak as an in‑ring top guy, The Cerebral Assassin used his closeness to Vince McMahon and later his relationship with Stephanie McMahon to ensure he stayed strong, winning or coming out looking dominant against hot acts who might have overtaken him.
Ex‑writers and talent have claimed that HHH would bury names like Sting, CM Punk, Ryback, Mr. Kennedy, and Bobby Lashley in backstage critiques, which affected how management viewed them.
That said, another ex-WWE star recently shared that he was also a victim of Triple H’s backstage politics in WWE.
Triple H Buried Stevie Richards in WWE
Retired pro wrestler Stevie Richards, who worked for WWE from 1999 to 2008, revealed on Cafe de Rene livestream that HHH buried him backstage in every production meeting by downplaying his talent in front of others.
There was one person there that was the top heel, and then there was me, who was considered to be one of the top heels and that person was Triple H.
And the writer for the right to censor every single week would say Triple H is the one burying you in every production meeting.
Triple H is saying you can’t draw. You can’t do this. You can’t do that. And that’s fine. That’s cool. (From 19:45)
